The Space

Lovely double attic room with TV, chest of drawers and a brand new bed and matress. The bathroom with electric power shower will be shared with others. You are welcome to use the rest of the house, including the front and back garden. I have cable TV and Wifi. Parking is also available.

The area is very nice and quiet. There is a a nice pub across the road from us that has traditional Irish music Wednesdays and Saturdays.
There is also a large supermarket and some good restaurants nearby.

I am located near the Dublin City University, 20 minutes from the O2 arena, 20 mins the Croke Park DCU and 15 minutes to the airport.

Bus wise the 16A from the airport will take you to the end of my road. And there are plenty of buses into the Dublin centre which take about 20 minutes.

There are many places of interest in and around Dublin including many castles, museums, art galleries, stately homes, royal palaces, zoos, gardens and theme parks.

  • The attic room is cool and comfortable, I slept like a log. Very clean bathroom with great shower. Margaret was very helpful, letting me use her computer and also phoned a friend for me as my cellphone wouldn't work in Ireland. Bus stop is only a 5 minute walk across the road from the Beaumont-a pub with great food, and the bus runs frequently. Don't expect a big Irish breakfast, though.

  • Margaret and her husband are the picture of good hospitality. They truly made us feel like welcomed family in her home. We appreciated the many little extras they provided - from sightseeing advice to getting our clothes ready for a big event we came to attend. We left feeling happy and content yet sad that it was already time to go; we just loved this home that much.

  • Margaret and her husband were extremely kind and friendly. They were very nice to talk to and offered a lot of suggestions for things to do in the area. The room was very nice as well, all we could have asked for. We would recommend.

  • My stay with Margaret and Gordon was perfect! They gave endless amounts of advice and help for traveling around Ireland, and were very gracious hosts. The location was absolutely perfect, close enough to the city and close enough to the airport. A perfect stay!

  • My fiancé and I just returned from a 3 night stay at Margaret and Gordon's home. We stayed in the attic room and it was fantastic! From our arrival in Dublin, Margaret was waiting for us at the bus stop to bring us home, and made us feel very comfortable! We stayed during St Paddy's celebrations and they were very helpful at giving us tips on getting to the city centre and what to do during the busy time! We feel like they not only opened their home, but also their hearts! Thank you for a great stay!

  • Convenient location for our needs, with clean comfortable bed. Kind assistance when needed by Margaret and Gordon, full of Irish hospitality. Really made us feel welcome. Appreciated the use of a transformer and hair dryer, as well as the partial refund when we needed to fly home early!
Perfect for a couple or single able-bodied persons as it is an attic room with steep steps necessary for access.

  • Margaret's home was welcoming and comfortable! We loved meeting her family and neighbors as well. Our attic room was very nice and cozy. The house was a little difficult to find, and about 20 minutes by bus from Dublin proper, but the stay with Margaret made our Dublin visit extra special!!

  • Margret is a very nice lady and really makes you feel comfortable in her home. Grant and I really enjoyed staying here and would definitely stay again. The room is a good size with a comfortable bed and a tv. We were able to use the kitchen. The shower was good. I would definitely recommend staying with Margaret!
