Where you’ll be

Dayton, Tennessee, United States

Set in a quaint historic section of Smith's Crossroads dating back to the early 1800's when the Broyles family owned the farmland where the house would later be built after the town was renamed to Dayton. Built just after the turn of the 20th century, the house is located within walking distance to local shops, supermarket, dining, and city parks. In May, walk straight down Market Street for an up front view of the Strawberry Parade, rides at the Carnival, and Festival events on the first two weeks of May (tnstrawberryfestival). A short 1-mile drive will bring you to the Dayton Boat Dock and put-in where you can take advantage of recreational water sports or troll into your best secret fishing spot for BassTownUSA tournament events (FishDayton). An easy 3/4-mile walk, ride, or drive to the historic Rhea County Courthouse and Museum offers guests a taste of world-changing events that took place nearly a century ago. A little further will bring you to wonderful attractions such as Pocket Wilderness, Fall Creek Falls, Chattanooga, Knoxville, Gatlinburg, Smoky Mountain National Park, as well as other natural or urban points of interest. This house is ideally located to take advantage of the numerous events in the area, such as the highly competitive Basstown Fishing Tournaments, the award-winning Scopes Trial Reenactment Play, and the annual Pumpkinfest. Bryan College sports, theatre, concerts, commencement, and graduation ceremonies are perennial favorites for families and fans who attend these venues on the Bryan Hill campus only a 2-mile drive from the house.
