Renovated in the 1980s, the district of rue Montorgueil is an extension of Les Halles. Since the renovation, motor vehicle traffic is prohibited in its newly-paved streets. Montorgueil is primarily a market street with gardeners, cheese makers, and bakers; the colors and aromas are reminiscent of countryside villages. The neighboring small streets are home to a selection of bars and restaurants.
Because you are in the center of Paris, you are 10 min walking from le Louvre, Beaubourg, la Seine. 15 min for the musée d'Orsay and the latin Quarter. In the Halles there is a shopping mall and movie theaters, olympic swimming pool and more.
The nearby Châtelet-les Halles metro station is 2 min walking away. You can access many places with no train change in Paris. For example: 45 min to Charles de Gaulle airport, or 5 min from Gare du Nord and 15 min to La Défense (business district).
Metro Lines 1, 4, 7, 11, 14, RER A, B, D.
- CDG - Rue Montorgueil (station Châtelet-les Halles) : Line RER B - 42 min
- Gare du Nord - Station Les halles - Line 4 - 5 min
- Gare de Lyon - Châtelet-Les halles - Line 14 or RER A - 5 min.
From Châtelet - les Halles : take the exit Porte de Rambuteau. There is an elevator. Once outside, go left toward St Eustache, then go down the stairs. Rue Montorgueil is straight ahead. My building is on the right in the street.
Parking St Eustache (Réservation on line for several days parking)
This is a quiet Parisian building.
Please be kind to the neighbors and not too noisy.
