House Rules

The house has been painstakingly restored, with wooden floors in the common areas, and cork flooring in the apartment, so NO STILETTOES, please.

NO FOOD OR DRINK, apart from water, to be taken upstairs. Tea/coffee/wine and expensive white sheets are a disaster waiting to happen.

Please be mindful of security, and remember to DOUBLE LOCK THE FRONT DOOR, as you enter and leave. The top lock is a night latch, but the bottom one is a deadbolt, which needs to be locked, when both coming and going from the building.

Please DO NOT OPEN THE CENTRE SASHES OF THE WINDOW- they are curved and the tolerance is very tight, a design issue that is not easily resolved. The side sashes are on spring balances, and are very easy to operate, though you will have to unlock them (key is hanging over the sink). Please keep them locked when they are closed.

Your consideration of other guests is much appreciated: please be quiet between the hours of 10pm and 9am.

When you are leaving, it is very helpful if you would strip the bed and leave the sheets and towels in two separate piles outside the door.

PLEASE TURN OFF THE HEATING, by turning the dial on the boiler all the way to the right. In summer, the electric water heater, controls located in the wardrobe, on the left hand side, needs to be turned off as you leave, by flicking up the double switches on the control panel in the wardrobe.

If I am not around when you are ready to leave, please separate the keys, and leave the apartment keys in the top lock, and the door open. Please lock the door and 'post' the front door keys in the letterbox.

Otherwise, please treat the house as you would your own home.

I wish you a very enjoyable stay in Dublin!

This location was perfect. In addition to the little flat being exactly what we needed for our stay it was also situated at a perfect distance from O'Connell street and anything we needed. Karin the host made all the difference! She was so sweet, helpful, and knowledgeable. She gave us suggestions on places to see and where to eat. Karin and her accommodations made our stay in Dublin worth while. I'd stay with her again in a heart beat.

The apartment is excellent and ideal as a base to explore Dublin. Karin is a fantastic host and provided lots of suggestions about the best places to go and visit rather than the usual tourist locations. Right down to the location of the nearest bus stop Karin made it so easy to feel at home in Dublin. We had a brilliant anniversary weekend in the City.

We loved this apartment! It was very spacious, bright, and accommodated all our needs. It had more than we could have asked for. We enjoyed the location as it was quiet at night but we were still able to walk to everything. Our only regret, we didn't meet Karin earlier in our stay. She is lovely and a wealth of knowledge. I highly recommend a stay here!

We had a great time at Karin's place. It had plenty of character and was clean, tidy and very homely. A short walk from central Dublin. Angela meet us on arrival and she was very helpful and frienldy. As an added bonus, the foyer smelt delicious from the orchids and lilies. We would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Karins apartment is centrally located, clean, spacious and equipped with all you need for short or long stays. Karin was there to greet us upon arrival and made sure we had settled in perfectly and knew all about Dublin and how to get around in the first 30 minutes. We highly recommend this apartment.
