Enjoy the peaceful seclusion of 10 acres of Maine woods, in a cabin on a salt-water cove and commune with nature. This cozy cottage is ideal for artists, bird-watchers, and hikers, with a short portage from driveway for kayakers. Located 5 miles off Rt 1, 25 miles from the Schoodic section of Acadia National Park, 50 miles from Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, 75 miles from Bangor or Campobello.
Best of all, a wonderful scenic park is just half a mile away, a destination of its own.

The space
Friends say the light-filled upstairs bedroom is the best room they've ever woken up in. Also having a second bedroom, this is a perfect place for a traveling two-some that is not a couple. The kitchen has a cooktop, microwave and separate convection oven, and everything that is necessary.

Where you’ll be

Milbridge, Maine, United States

In town you will find necessities such as groceries, a dollar store, a Post Office, gas station and auto repair, laundromat, and pharmacy. There are several eateries, one of which is a wharf right up the road where you can buy fresh seafood to cook yourself, or see what's cooking' there. On the fun side, explore gift, craft and antique shops ( Odds N' Ends has all 3), a gallery and a museum, a walking path and community gardens, and marina with waterfront concerts and sea tours. Do not miss spectacular McCLellan Park, right in the neighborhood.
In neighboring towns nearby, there are many trails to explore, mountains to climb, and lakes to boat and swim in. You will find local areas are much quieter and less travelled than the National Park areas.
