About This Listing
This trendy boutique studio condominium was recently remodeled in November of 2011 and is located one block from Waikiki's world famous beaches. I purchased this unit in April 2012 because this gem has it all, from a spacious dressing area to an abundance of storage space and more.
This retreat is equipped with a kitchenette and all cooking utensils and supplies to enjoy dining-in experiences, a space-saving wall-mounted cable tv and ottomans for additional seating and/or storage. The bathroom offers all new hardware and bath tub/shower with plenty of color-coordinated and decorative towels and cloths to pamper yourself.
The comfortable queen-sized bed with modern bedding, coordinating pillows and shams is positioned to enjoy mountain views from the interior of the unit as well as the balcony, while ocean views may be taken in from the front of the unit. Staying here will ensure you will be charmed by a serene sanctuary with guest comfort a priority!
Also on the property is a large self-service laundromat, Blue Hawaii Internet café (internet work stations, fax, scan, printing), convenience store, surf rental shop, activity desk. Parking is available for $20/day. The property is located just 1 short block from the world's most famous beach, where you can take in surfing, stand-up paddling, canoe surfing, body boarding, snorkel, catamaran rides or just sun bathe. Popular surf spots in front of the building include Publics, Queens Surf, Canoes, Pops and 3's. This is where everyone wants to be!
The nearby neighborhood includes popular Hy's Steak House, several major hotels and numerous large and small restaurants that cater to every nationality. A few blocks away you will find famous Kapiolani park and the Waikiki Shell, Honolulu Zoo, Waikiki Aquarium, Diamond Head, golfing and many tennis courts. Watch the sunsets from nearly any vantage point along the beach and see the Friday night fireworks from the Hilton Village. Bring your camera.
Transportation is readily available. Bus stops are located in front of the property, and you can circle the island from your backyard. Rental cars are not really necessary unless you want to spend a lot of time at a certain destination. Ala Moana Center and Convention Center are about 1 mile away, ride the bus or one of the many open air trolleys.
This is a secured building and all guests must register with our building manager.
On the day of departure, check-out time is no later than 11am. Guests may request a late check-out. Approval is required for late check-out requests and is based on availability. Approved guests will be assessed the following rates:
-Check-out between 11:01am and 5:00pm: 50% of the daily rental rate.
-Check-out beyond 5:01pm: 100% of the daily rental rate.
This place was perfect for our 4-day Hawaii trip! The place is on the small side, but perfect for a couple who is planning on spending most of the trip out of the room. There's a nice view from the balcony, GREAT breeze coming from the ocean, and plenty of towels. The room is a bit dated but was clean and totally comfortable. Bed is comfy. We didn't use the AC much, but it's extremely powerful if you need it. We didn't really use the kitchenette either, but I noticed it was well-stocked. There's a convenient laundromat, cheap luggage storage, and minimart downstairs, too.
The bathroom is tiny, but water pressure is great. Make sure to bring your own toiletries because there is no shampoo or anything in the apartment.
The TV is mounted in a really weird place, so if you're planning to binge-watch Netflix maybe this isn't your best option. But, let's be honest-- who is going to watch TV while vacationing in Hawaii?
Location is two blocks from the beach and very convenient to everything in Waikiki. The area is super touristy and not the most authentic, but if you're going to be in this area you could do a lot worse. The neighborhood is a little noisy, but if you live in a city it's nothing you aren't used to. We loved being right off the beach and didn't want for anything staying here. Check in and check out were simple.
I do think it's worth noting that while we were here, we were awakened at 4:45AM by an emergency alert asking us to evacuate the building immediately. We located the emergency exits without too much trouble, but it was unnerving. When we got downstairs we were told it was essentially a power failure and not an emergency. I'm glad they have an alert system, but it was annoying and scary to evacuate in the middle of the night for a false alarm. It was probably an isolated incident, but in the interest of full-disclosure I'm mentioning it.
All in all, I have no regrets about staying here and would happily return on a future visit.
Excellent location, very cleaning, ground parking it's convenient if you have rented a car!
Great location in that it is 2 minute walk to the Waikiki beach.
The suite is quite small and will not fit more than 2 adults and maybe 1 child.
The suite has a kitchenette with a mini fridge and microwave.
Beach towels, beach mats, a boogie board, a floatie and snorkeling gear are there for you to use.
Parking is available but there are limited spots for a first come first serve basis and costs $20 for every 24 hours max.
Free WiFi and cable is provided
I would recommend this place!
We had a great time at Brenda's condo, it was a minute away from the beach.
Brenda was really friendly and helpful, we requested late check out the day before we left and she accommodated which was great.
The condo was clean, the wifi was good, and having air con was a bonus.
Checking in and out was hassle free.
I'd definitely recommend staying here!
Brenda was a very accommodating host, and excellent with communication and directions. The AirBnb is conveniently located just minutes away from the beach, and is very central to bus access, restaurants, bars, sights, etc.
The accommodations were very clean, and amenities like wifi, towels, air conditioning are all included---so convenient. Excellent experience, and a very secure building. Thank you.
