JoAnne was very quick with response and helpful with all questions. check in was very easy and the convo was a perfect fit for our family. The neighborhood of Old Town was just fabulous.
Tydlig, korrekt information. Lgh var tom. mer attraktiv än på bilderna. Mycket direktkommunikation via SMS etc. Van dörrvakt som kände till oss och var välkomnande.
There was a bit of confusion on the host's end regarding when we were arriving which made our trip unnecessarily stressful. We had added a day at the beginning, and when I contacted her two days before to make sure we would be able to get in alright since we were to be arriving at 1 am, she told me there was another group renting that night. It was my group, however, had Joanne checked, she would have easily been able to see it was rented by me. This was very unneeded stress on our trip and not very professional.
Aside from that, the space was great. It was very comfortable for two couples and one single. The roof top hot tub was incredible after a long day of walking around, the only unfortunate thing is that it closes at midnight. (It was also bit difficult to find as it's a large complex, but it is worth it!) It was very clean and stocked with fresh sheets and towels.
The loft is in a really great location - easy to get around by transit, close to lots of good restaurants and stores, the area felt very safe as well. I would happily stay in this loft again!
Only two notes for guests - 1) Parking is not cheap. There is a lot behind the building, and I was told it was "around $20" per day. It was $27/day. A fairly large expense when you're there for a few days. 2) No bottle opener! Not a major complaint, just a minor inconvenience.
The neighborhood is great, and the apartment is nice. It was much nicer than staying in a hotel for our week in Chicago. However, there were a few things that would probably prevent me from staying in this place again. The main thing is the shower. The toilet runs every 10 minutes or so, and when you're in the shower that makes the water run super hot. Also, independently of what the toilet is doing, I had a hard time showering one morning and struggled constantly with the water going hot and cold every five seconds. On our last night, a pipe under the kitchen sink broke and leaked water everywhere. Lastly, I couldn't connect to the wifi because of an incorrect password, but my efforts to reach out to Joanne for help with that were not acknowledged. The place has tons of potential and was super comfortable to hang out in when we weren't exploring the city, but I wish we didn't have to deal with those other things.
Great location, awesome communicators. This loft was well kept and spacious enough as a studio to not feel at all cramped with two (comfortable) beds. I would definitely stay there again.
