The Space

I live in a renovated home built in the 1920s. With 11-foot ceilings, this 1380 sq ft home has the original pine wooden floors in the living rooms and updated hardwood floors in the bedrooms plus granite counter tops in the kitchen and an open floor plan creates a very homely, amniotic, ambiance aura.

The three bedrooms are as follows:

1. One queen size bed (master bedroom).
2. One bunk-futon bed (two full size beds - front room)
3. One queen size bed (middle room)

There is enough sleeping arrangements for 8 people (i.e. two persons on the queen bed) including the couch and inflatable mattress.

The area around my listing has everything a guest to New Orleans could want. From convenient dining options to great night life activities (French Quarter), there is a lot to keep you busy.

P.s. I am less than a 10 minute bike ride to City Park, French Quarter, and the Fairgrounds, perfect for those looking to attend the Voodoo Fest and Jazz Fest. People have asked me if they can walk to the Quarter, and I say, you could but its far enough that you wouldn't want to. Two sets of guest have and admit that it looks walkable but it takes 30 minutes. The bus route takes equally as long -- 30 mins.

Also, for each additional person over 4 persons is additional $20/person.

For special events: New Orleans Bowl, Super Bowl, New Years (31st and 1st), Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, Voodoo fest, etc. -- it's $400/night.

Check In
  • We had a great time at this house! Justin was very helpful and his place was clean and comfortable. Neighborhood was pretty centrally located, close to downtown/French Quarter and the Superdome. We would definitely stay here again if we got the chance.

  • Everything with the house was great. Clean, comfortable and the outside deck was nice for a pseudo crawfish boil. Dookie Chase is within walking distance and the house is a 10 minute drive or $10 cab ride to just about anywhere else.

  • this place was a great find for our trip to nola for jazzfest. it's a quick walk to the fairgrounds and easy to get around to most other places as well. the house is roomy, comfortable and clean, and the neighbors are friendly.

justin also gave us some great tips about local restos (katie's in midcity was especially delicious!).

  • This house couldn't have been more perfect for us. The house was nice and clean, the beds and couch were comfortable, the linens were clean and ready for us, the bunk beds were wayyy more comfortable than any other bunk bed i've been on and the back deck is AWESOME! There is no doubt in my mind that we will rent from Justin EVERY time we're in town from here on out. Justin is the nicest guy to deal with and made sure we had suggestions of places to go and things to do without being too pushy.
Bathrooms: recently updated and very clean
Beds: so comfy we slept in both days
Space: PLENTY!!! you could fit a whole football team if you needed to!
Back Deck: so perfect for hanging out before you go out.
Parking: on the street, but we were able to get right by the house with no issue each time we left. *NOTE* don't drive anywhere... the first night we made the mistake of driving and it cost $30 to park for like 8 hours. after that, we used cabs and it's only like $10 to get most places near the (website hidden): awesome! i like to sleep with it really cold and everyone complained that i was freezing them out.

thank you for an amazing time, Justin... we hope to see you again soon! :)

  • Justin's place was fantastic for our group of 5. There was plenty of space for everybody, the house was clean and the porch out back was great for socializing. The only drawback for some people is that the house is a little out of the way of most destinations and I would recommend renting a car (like we did after the first day) to easily navigate around the city. It's a great place to stay but don't expect to walk outside the door and be in the best area or most happening neighborhood. We knew this going in so it wasn't a problem for us, but it's something to be aware of. Also note, the pictures do not do this place justice. It looks like Justin has done some work to the house and looks like work is ongoing. I will be contacting Justin for another booking the next time I'm planning a trip to New Orleans, highly recommended!

  • Great host and great house to stay in. Our trip to NO was a blast and Justin's house was clean, comfortable, and easily accommodated our group of 5 with plenty of room to spare. Justin was very communicative and even dropped off a cash refund for us having one less person in our group than originally expected. I would definitely rent from him again.

  • Justin and his house were such a wonderful experience for us! We were able to walk to everything we needed - grocery store, restaurants, a super awesome wine shop with free tastings, and of course Bourbon Street and the French Quarter (about a half hour walk). The house was clean and comfortable, with a back porch to enjoy the weather. The neighbors were all really friendly...including the roosters we found in the street in the morning. And it was wonderful to have a flexible check in and check out and no cleaning fee - probably the best part of Justin's hostdom!

  • Justin was amazing. Super friendly and has a beautiful home.

  • I had a big group of people staying here for mardi gras and we all loved our stay here at Justin's house! First, Justin is very quick to respond to any questions you may have and even has some New Orleans information pamphlets around the house for those who aren't familiar with the city. The house itself surpassed my expectations: it was very spacious, nicely decorated, and the balcony in the back was amazing. There is plenty of street parking outside of the house as well. you are planning on going downtown you might need to get a cab, but if you dont mind walking its just 30 minutes to get to the French Quarter from Justin's place. I had a great time at Justin's and I definitely wouldn't mind staying here again!

  • Great house to stay in! Easy car or cab ride to the French quarter. Everything in the house works fine and we had plenty of room for seven people. I would recommend this place to anyone. Justin is an easy going and good host
