Our mountain escape in Coal Creek Canyon is perfect for retreats, family gatherings, out-of-the-city weekends with friends, and even a solo escape or working vacation!
Located <1hr from Denver, Boulder, Golden, Nederland, Black Hawk, Golden Gate Canyon State Park, Eldora Ski Mountain, Gross Reservoir and more - and just 70 minutes from DIA! - this newly-renovated, professionally designed, and easy-to-get-to home was made for groups looking to gather and soak up time together!
The space
Our luxury mountain cabin is a high-end yet comfortable destination that feels remote while being in the Front Range, and has incredible access to Colorado wildlife, the outdoors, and nature in general.
The 3B/2Ba home has a two car covered garage and all the modern amenities you would expect from a 5-star hotel! All beds have brand new, high-end mattresses and luxe eucalyptus sheets, and the home is fully stocked with everything from towels and toiletries to basic cooking (and grilling!) utensils. There's also a washer and dryer and dedicated laundry / ski storage space that we keep back stocked with essentials year round.
Off the back porch is a hot tub that comfortably seats 6 adults and a propane grill on a cozy outdoor area that's perfect for al fresco dining and hanging out. There is a wood-burning stove in the living room - the focal point for the giant curved sofa that seats 10+ people! - that's perfect for ambiance and warmth in the winter months. A mounted 55" 4K Art Television is set up for your viewing pleasure (choose from 20 beautiful art designs making the television disappear)--and for streaming (but no cable!). High speed internet is provided to allow cellular and tech-enabled devices to function as needed. Note that cell service is very spotty in the canyon.
The three bedrooms are:
1. The Loft Bedroom (1 King, 2 Twins)
2. The Bunk Bedroom (1 Queen, 1 Full)
3. The Master Bedroom (1 King, 1 Air Mattress).
The Upstairs Bathroom features a double vanity and shower / bathtub combo with a rainfall shower head, and the Downstairs Bathroom off the dining room features a single sink, second toilet, and standing shower. The main Dining table comfortably seats group and a second bar area provides additional seating as needed, overlooking the Full Kitchen.
The multi-level floor plan conveniently separates the sleeping areas from the social areas, which is a plus for groups / those traveling with children. Note that all bedrooms are located up stairs, so do keep that in mind if you're traveling with anyone with physical limitations.
This is an amazing space that we're very proud of, love very much as our home away from home, and we're excited - especially amidst the impact of COVID-19 - to be able to host guests. We are taking all necessary precautions at this time, including using hospital grade cleaning products and putting a 48-hour buffer between all bookings.

- The home has 3 separate bedrooms, a dedicated Living, Dining, and Kitchen area, as well as a Washer/Dryer and sleeps 10 in beds.
- 4WD is recommended, but access to the home is off of a well-maintained county road. The driveway is not paved, but as needed parking is available at the base if your car can't make it all the way up the drive.
- Cell Service is not guaranteed, and there is no Cable TV. Wifi cell service and streaming 4K TV works great via the provided high-speed internet connection.
- We have some neighbors, but the cabin is surrounded by nature and you will see wild animals. We almost guarantee a deer or doe sighting, and do caution to keep an eye out for bears and mountain lions. More info on precautions to take on that front included in the House Manual.
- Unless otherwise approved, NO PETS. SMOKING is only permitted outside, and we STRONGLY enforce local fire restrictions.
- Our Short Term Rental property is legal, licensed, and approved to operate in Jefferson County under license #26-103018STRL.

Neighborhood highlights
Coal Creek Canyon is beautiful, and meant to be explored. There's limited cell service, but plenty of great hikes around and even a small restaurant "just around the bend" if you don't feel like cooking. Please be mindful that this is a neighborhood of families that call the CCC their full-time home, so thanks in advance for your mindfulness of how sound travels, at night in particular!
