Exceptional check-in experience

Recent guests gave the check-in process a 5-star rating.
In an idyllic valley in the North York Moors National Park, our lovingly hand built garden cabin at Gumboots & Wellingtons is wonderfully cosy.
The Den is fully equipped with en-suite shower room, central heating, compact kitchen and the cutest log burner.
Your stay will be truly relaxing, surrounded by nature.
From the doorstep stroll into Thornton le Dale or enjoy the Dalby Forest walking/cycle trails , venture to the coast or explore local market towns such Malton 'food capital of Yorkshire'

The space
The Den at Gumboots & Wellingtons is in a unique setting, with lovely views across the garden to the 11th century Church next door.
Located at the top of the garden of our 17th century ex-vicarage, it was lovingly hand built by us to create a 'tiny house' that still feels open and airy.
The living space has a compact kitchen with full size under-counter fridge, 2 ring gas hob, toaster, tea pot, cafetière and all the pots & pans, utensils, cutlery and crockery you might need.
The bedroom has king sized bed, bedside tables for storage & wall hooks & coat hanger. The en-suite shower room is accessed from the bedroom, there’s a digital shower, small wash basin & loo.
There are lots of well thought out details which make it extra special. Books, local maps, playing cards and a set of binoculars are provided.
Outside you'll find a fire pit / barbecue which you are welcome to use (extra wood can be purchased).
Being close to Dalby Forest, which is known for its dark skies, the star gazing is spectacular here!

Other things to note
We include breakfast supplies to get you started.... usually home made granola, yoghurts, locally pressed apple juice etc. Tea, locally roasted coffee, milk & sugar are also provided. Please let us know any dietary requirements or requests.

We request that guests bring their own bath towels (we are trying to be a bit ‘greener’ by not having to wash bulky towels and reducing water consumption). We provide a hand towel & tea towel.

Mobile phone reception can be limited, depending on your network provider. We see this as a bonus, it gives our guests the chance to properly switch off and unwind.
