I stayed at Bernando's place for one night on a layover in Mexico City. The place is located in the heart of the Historic Center. It's ideal for short and long stays. Zócalo and tons of restaurants and bars are within walking distance. Also, Bernando is super nice and the room is clean and big. I couldn't ask for more. And I would recommend this place to anyone.

Bernardo is extremely kind and communicative. The apartment is tucked away in Centro, one of the amazing neighbordhoods in Mexico City and close to everything you need. The bedroom is small and the apartment is shared, but great value especially if you're going to be out and about for most of the day. Highly recommend.

This apartment is a part of 450 year old convent that facilitates the feeling of time travel. The location is perfect. Regina Street is one street away and Zocalo is within walking distance. You can get on the metro at the ever-busy Pino Suarez Station and go to places of interest. I went to Teotihuacan and the tour's pick-up place was 7 minute walk from the house. Bernardo is communicative, addressing every question, and suggesting fun activities. I am a solo traveler and this place suited me well.

We only stayed here for one night before flying back home. Bernardo's place was very close to Centro Historico and many great restaurants which was a plus - we had stayed outside of the centro earlier in our trip and this location was really ideal. The stay itself was okay, the only issues we had were that the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable (so bad that we ended up folding our towels under our heads and not using the pillows at all), the room had no windows which I wasn't expecting and when my parter arrived alone carrying all 5/6 pieces of our (heavy) luggage, he didn't receive any assistance. We stayed at 6 other Airbnb's throughout our trip in Mexico and every host helped/offered to help with our luggage. Nothing especially bad or terrible, but just not at the same level as our other hosts. He was, however very flexible with our check in which was great. We really only needed this place as somewhere to sleep and due to the uncomfortable bed and pillows, we would not stay here again.

Response from Bernardo:
Sorry about the bed, funny, it is an orthopedic mattress. also the pillows, but looks like you want a 5 star hotel service. As usual you didn´t read the description of the place, it states that is a set of stairs and one more in the flst. And IT IS A HISTORIC BUILDING, WE CAN ALTER THE FRONT, THAT IS THE REASON THAT IT IS NOT A WINDOW, HOWEVER, THERE IS A SKYLIGHT AND WE GAVE YOU A FAN. AS FOR THE LUGGAGE, SORRY, YOU DECIDE TO SEND HIM OVER WITH THE SUITCASES, WHILE YOU WHERE HAVING DINER. AS A RULE I COULD REFUSE HIM THE ENTRY SINCE HE WASN'T THE ONE WHO BOOKED THE ACCOMMODATION. LOOKS TO ME THAT YOU WANT SLAVES AND ROOM SERVICE. GO TO A HOTEL PLEAS. YOU ARRIVE LATE, YOU WERE LOUD AND NOISY AND FOR ONE NIGHT YOU COMPLAIN A LOT. YOU DON`T UNDERSTAND AIRBNB. YOU WANT A HOTEL, BUT YOU DON'T WANT TO PAY IT SO??? AND PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION OF THE PLACE BEFORE YOU BOOKE SOMETHIN G.

Happy to share my home with people from anywhere. I love traveling, reading, food (either prepare it or learn how to cook) desserts, and music. I love this city and I know it not only as a tourist guide but as a resident. I am fortunate to live in the historic center of this heartbreakingly beautiful city.
