Margaret and Gordon were very friendly and helpful. We felt very welcomed and enjoyed our stay at their home. The room was clean and neat as well as the bathroom. We had breakfast in the morning, internet and cable. Everything worked well.. The atmosphere was warm and the house is lovely.
I would advice everybody who wants to stay in Dublin for a reasonable price to stay at the place of Margaret and Gordon. Warm Regards for you guys :)
Margeret & Gordan gave us a warm welcome, altough we arrived a bit late at night. The rooms and facilities were as described and the beds are very good to sleep in! It is not to far to the city center, about 20 min with th bus and 15 with the taxi. Gordan had some time left on sunday and took us out to the beautiful coast nerby. We were realy suprised and so thankful.
So thank you for the nice stay we had with you! :)
Margaret was very friendly and accommodating, and the room was very comfortable. Toast and coffee were provided in the mornings, which was a nice start to the day. I would stay here again!
Margaret and Gordon were great hosts. They let us arrive a bit early since our flight got in early. They also provided us with input on attractions and bus route information. Gordon even opted to give us a ride to city center on the way to bus stop. The neighbor hood was quiet and pleasant. Gordon is very familiar with American sports and classic songs from the greats. The room was accurately described and pleasant. The location between the airport and city center worked out perfectly.
Margaret and her husband were both very friendly and chatty. Breakfast was provided, but we weren't sure what we could ask for; a previous review had mentioned eggs for breakfast, while one host told us to ask for anything at all, and the other host just mentioned toast and tea/coffee. We ended up having toast and tea, which was fine, but knowing what to expect ahead of time -- and knowing what we could realistically ask for -- would have been nice. Likewise, it would have been nice to have set rules, such as whether or not guests can use the kitchen. We did use it, but sparingly.
The house was a little hard to find by taxi on arrival day, so make sure you bring a good map! It was close to the bus stop, as well as a good-sized supermarket and late-night Chinese takeaway. If you plan to take the bus, note that they ONLY TAKE COINS. We bought one Leap Card, and used it for all three of us (this is completely allowed). Margaret's husband gave us a ride to the airport on our last day for 15 euros, which is about the same price as a taxi, and much more convenient.
The room was comfortable, and came with a tv that looked like it even had Sky, though we never actually used it; however, the whole house smelled like cigarette smoke. We left the bedroom window open during the day, which took care of the problem in the room for the most part. We were given a key for the room as well as for the front door, which was nice.
very nice week in this house with Margaret, i recommand everybody who go at Dublin...
