Well, I never met my host Nate. They didn't have a private room for me like I requested. Had to sleep in a room with 5 other people. But later getting to know all the guest a little better, I did have a good time hanging out with them. All the people that worked in the Hostel with very nice and friendly. They were very helpful with any thing you wanted.

This was a fabulous place to stay!! I've never seen anything like it. It was clean, warm, welcoming, and very artistic. My first night there I literally wandered around and marveled at the art work on the walls and the simple touches. It has an open feeling in both physical structure and vibe, and I never wanted to leave. The city of Cali is amazing -- the food, music, salsa dancing and people.. Pure magic. I cannot wait to come back. Thank you again and again Nate and the rest of the staff---I am one of you biggest fans!!

Luxurious is a misnomer for this backpacker hostel, unless you are talking about the 3rd floor loft at $100 a night. Much effort was put into the common areas; used upstairs for salsa lessons in the evening, and downstairs as an overflow dorm, so hardly a common area for everyone. So that leaves anyone not involved to keep to their room with windows closed because of the mosquitos, or asking for a change of room with a fan. Breakfast is dull and the rooms a bit shabby. The ladies on staff are lovely, however. We discovered much better options in much nicer neighborhoods after our 3 day stay. One thing that can be said about Nate is that he is a clever businessman.

The neighborhood is great and centrally located. 30 minutes walk to Crepes & Waffles. Lots of restaurants walking distance away. Short taxi ride to Grenada and San Antonio neighborhood. The place itself is beautifully decorated. I stayed in a private room with private bath. The room is spacious with great view. The staff (the reception & night guard man) are great. The breakfast is delicious - Eggs, bread, fruits, juice/tea/coffee. I would stay here again.

The house is beautiful and located in a nice and quiet neighborhood, not far from public transport. There is a local market called La Alameda a few blocks away, definitely worth seeing. The room was as described, a good bed and functional bathroom. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was above average. The other lodgers were a nice mix of open and communicative people from all over. Thankfully not a party hostel. Overall a very pleasant stay!

ı said my arrival time twice but there is nobody when ı came to hostel. a man with a stick came to near me ı m afraid naturally, he doestnt know one single english word as ı know later he is a doormen and the key is on him but he dorsnt understand that ım a guest after twenty minutes ı succeed to telephone a guest and he spoke to doormen spanish and he gave the room key. in front of hostel there is usually a bird voice which like a whistle for 24 fours and it is very noisy and room near the kitchen is noisy for deep frost voice too. ıf you use professional hostel in airbnb it may be ideal buy if you use familiar thing it is not suitable for you

Response from Nate:
You arrived a day earlier then we agreed (after much confirmation) that's why nobody was aware of your arrival. I apologize if there was still a misunderstanding. The guy with the "stick" is our nighttime security guard. I don't blame you for being scared...I would be scared of him too if I saw him on the street at night. However, for future guests reading this, I assure you that he is like a big teddy bear (with a stick) very good at scaring away Colombian zombies. The "bird" sound, is actually a tiny frog (about the size of your finger nail) They sound like crickets and make noise during mating season. They are actually a little annoying if you don't like "cricket sounds" at night..but most people get used to them.
