Waldemar was a very welcoming host and he is a very interesting person - we had some nice conversations during my stay.
The room is exactly as described, with a lot of space. The whole apartment is clean and tidy.
I used the Atlantic metro station to go to Manhattan, which is a large hub only 10-15 min walk from the apartment.
Waldemar was a sweet guy, kept out of the way, but was present and helpful when you needed to be. A very gracious host who didn't even bat an eyelash when I came and went as I pleased and when I ended up needing to wash my sheets after my first night staying with him. The bathroom was super clean, and the area made me feel safe. Definitely recommend.
Waldemar was a great host and his parlor room was also a fantastic place to stay in a great area of Brooklyn. It was as described, close to great places to eat/drink and very close to the subway. Only downside, the shared bathroom was dirty.
Wald was truly a welcoming host. He offered up his home and put us at ease with his hospitality during the full course of our stay. We found the accommodations to be exactly what we expected and perfectly suited to our needs. The location was perfect as there were many features of the neighborhood that worked well for us. For example... Easy walking distance to cafes, restaurants, bars, subway stations, and a 24hr well provisioned market across the street. There is also a Citi Bike station close by if you want to take advantage of pedal power to get around. The only downside to our experience was that we tended be out late and slept late which provided a challenge given it is a bit noisy, however, earplugs were an effective solution.
