There is a queen-sized bed and a 7-foot, leather sofa and a desk (acquired AFTER the professional photo shoot) in a huge (8'x27'), air-conditioned bedroom on the parlor floor of a brownstone, duplex apartment. The sofa can accommodate a third person. The room is on the upper floor of the duplex. There is a ceiling fan and a high ceiling. Wi-Fi is available from anywhere within the apartment. The chef's kitchen and the bathroom are on the lower level and are shared with one other person. There is a French, gourmet deli on the corner which is kind of pricey but is very good. There are also many restaurants in the area, some of which are located on DeKalb Ave. G train to Clinton/Washington, two blocks away. Forty minutes from Central Park and Times Sq. A 20-minute walk to Brooklyn Museum or Brooklyn Academy of Music and a 25-minute walk to Prospect Park. Very close to Fort Greene, Williamsburg, Barclays Stadium and Pratt. The house is also along the route of the NYC Marathon. Parking is available on the street or in lots in the neighborhood.
I really enjoyed my short stay at Waldemars place. I would have loved to stay longer. Waldemar is super easy going and his cat super charming : ) also the area is probably one of the best in Brooklyn.
Waldemar was a very kind and hospitable host. The best predictor I'd say is whether this was a nice place to stay is whether I'd come back: yes, I would definitely come back to stay with Waldemar.
My fiancee and I had a great stay with Waldemar, who was kind enough to put us up last minute. This is a great, reasonable place to stay in a convenient location--only two blocks to the G train. It was twenty five degrees in New York, and we stayed toasty warm all night. The place has character and so does Waldemar!
Great space, in a great location, with a great host. I would come back.
Waldemar has 3 clean and comfortable rooms. His house is less than a block from the subway. Brooklyn is truly New York's well kept secret. Quiet and cosy, and meaningfully close to Manhattan. Highly recommended.
Waldemar is a very warm and welcoming host. His place is a grand old Brooklyn brownstone. The room is large, the bed is comfortable, and everything is very clean.
I have stayed here before and I love the neighborhood. The architecture is stunning and the variety of restaurants, cafes, and bars is wonderful
Waldemar est un hote tres sympatique, disponible et discret. L appartement est charmant et fonctionnel, surtout a quelques metres de la station de metro. Une adresse a recommander.
Nice area, and Waldemar is a good and respectful host. He is there when you have questions, otherwise happy to let you go about your business and enjoy the city. The room is nice and has everything you need, though bear in mind that you can sometimes hear the neighbors through the walls. I had a good time and definitely recommend staying with him (and his adorable attention-seeking cat!)
Amazing room! Very friendly host!
Waldemar's hospitality was wonderful in his Brooklyn brownstone. He was there to greet us when we arrived, provided a great environment to stay for 3 nights!
