Our house is at the end of a country road and the guest space has a private entrance on the ground level of our home, with not another house in sight. There is a large Queen bedroom, a small bunkroom,a spacious living room, and full bath. The space looks out over our gardens, and the hills and fields of Gill. In the LR there is a quiet window air conditioner as well as a small refrigerator and coffee maker which we stock with breakfast goodies. There is a TV but no cable - movies only - and wireless internet for guest use, and lots and lots of quiet. We are very near Mount Hermon School, the Gill Tavern, strawberry picking, and close to Kringle and Yankee Candle as well as Indoor Action Sports. We are educators, travelers, bikers, and hikers, and enjoy sharing our lovely country spot.
No smoking and no pets. Our dog never goes into the guest space and she doesn't bark.
This is an exceptionally beautiful, welcoming, and private space. There was more than enough room for the two of us, and could have accommodated two more adults and two children. The continental breakfast was delicious. The views, especially in mid-October, were gorgeous. We are definitely considering staying again on our next visit.
Betsy was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. There were wonderful breakfast "fixings" available, including some local delicacies. The rooms were lovely and spacious, and the setting was quiet and beautiful.
Exactly as advertised! Very private, quiet, at the end of a dirt road in a beautiful setting. Betsy stocked the frig for breakfast, welcomed us as we arrived and showed us around, bid us farewell as we left. We weren't around much to enjoy the setting, but we'd definitely go back.
We had a nice stay at this B&B...Betsy was very welcoming and a gracious host. Her home is located in a beautiful area especially pretty in the fall...we would definitely stay there again!!
Lovely, rural spot in the basement of Betsy's house with walk out bedroom area and entrance. Lots of space to hang out in living area, Continental breakfast left in the refrigerator and very accommodating hosts. (Just an FYI - bunk bed sleepers have to go through the bathroom or another bedroom to get to the living area)
No cable TV and cell service is spotty,.

I am a self-employed early childhood education consultant, conflict resolution specialist, and author. My husband owns a sports facility, coaches lacrosse, and he is the enthusiastic landscaper of our property. We've lived in Gill for 37 years and enjoy sharing with others the quiet and peace of this life. Our home is at the end of a 1/2 mile dirt road, and looks out over a field and forest. Below us is Upinngil, a working dairy farm with a small store that carries fresh vegetables, diary products, fresh grains, and honey products - a great walking destination. From our house you can walk to our very own Gill Tavern for fabulous food and company. I have traveled to almost every state in this country for work (or hiking), and I am always so so happy to come home to Gill, and our family property, Mansfield House, in Underhill VT (also listed on airbnb).. They are both magical places. Come visit - you will love it!
