Built in late 1700, this modern Farmhouse on a creek is peaceful. You will see the original bones of the house through some of the lower ceilings & doorways on the 1st floor which gives this gem uniqueness. Lots of beautiful natural light. 200+ sq.ft screen enclosed porch, wood stove, outdoor fire pit, updated kitchen, 3 bdr & 2 bth, games-a-plenty, books-a plenty, & over 2,200+ sq.ft to enjoy. Positioned 90 minutes away from NYC, the house is central to everything you want to do in Upstate NY.

The space
House sits on almost 2 acres of land. You will love every single room as it brings a different element & charm to house.The modern farmhouse is a great place to get away from everything and relax. With an outdoor fire pit, or the running hill creek down the property that you can hear from indoors, outdoor porch, magnificent bird watching, plethora of books/games or just sitting in any room in the house while looking out of the window will allow you decompress and refuel yourself; It's calm and carefree. If you like nuts, there are many walnut trees on the property that you can pick and well as blackberry bushes in the yard and chives, mint,dill and rosemary in the garden.
Additionally amenities include laundry room, gas grill, heated bathroom floor, bear claw tub that can also be a shower, fully stocked kitchen with baking/cooking needs, Kuerig machine for coffee or tea, cable, all smart TVs in the house, Strong WiFi throughout the house for work or pleasure, NEST smart heating system and the nearby creek for fishing or swimming.
Inspired by HGTV and Magnolia Home by Chip & Joanna Gaines, many of the touches in the house speak to modernity mixed with antiquity of farmhouse, rustic, s industrial design. Cotton bedding, will leave you cozy while sleeping. 100% cotton bath towels for a luxurious and soft feel. Plenty of extra bedding, throws. Many antiqued items of the house have been re-purposed for decor; mirrors, doors, doorknobs, locks, buckets, shelving, baskets. Overall these special touches give the house TLC and hopefully you will love it just as much as we do.

Neighborhood is also quiet , tons of outdoor space and beautiful scenery. Neighbors are friendly and helpful with a wave or a smile as they greet you. The Hamlets out here are fairly small .There are many things to do immediately within minutes of the house: Apple Orchard, Beer Brewery, Skating, Antique Shops, Horse back Riding, Trails, Hikes, Golfing, Skiing,Biking, Lakes and Waterfalls. If you want to travel a little further between 30-60 min. There is great shopping, great towns to visit and great food to eat. And who can not forget Celebrity Sightings: Many celebrities live in the area that you just might see. Jewel, Uma Thurman, Melissa Leo, Aidan Quinn, Vera Farmiga, Willem Dafoe, Rachel Weisz & Daniel Craig, Liev Schreiber, Jim Carey. Mary Kate and Ashley Olson did an Airbnb house in this town for one summer.

As a HOST: Love this little upstate house that gives me such tranquility & peace. Plenty of natural light, nature, hikes, water, antiquing and right amount of modern amenities to enjoy; Something for everyone at every age here. While the house was built in mid 1800's, it has so much imperfect charm that gives me good perspective for beautiful things. We LOVE hosting couples, friends or families in this Upstate NY updated farmhouse & sharing what the Hudson Valley/ Catskill Mountains has to offer. Will share a list with all confirmed bookings. As a GUEST: like to travel and try different experiences, enjoy reading, architecture, outdoors, design, arts and entertainment, a good zen moment, shopping for antiques and food.
