This was the BEST part of our Italy trip. The dinners were made by Gabriella with such care- using ingredients from their farm- they were literally the best meals I have ever had in my life. In addition to the excellent dinners, Paulo & Gabriella and their dogs lala, pepa and tommy were wonderful to be around and very weloming. It felt like we were invited into their home. My husband and I relaxed in the garden amidst a beautiful Tuscan landscape.
Our room was above the kitchen and it was clean, picturesque, and had a gorgeous view of the countryside.
There was plenty of places to walk and I was able to go swimming 3 days that I was there.
We went for walks around the countryside and even bought honey straight from a bee farm.
Il Casale offers wine on tap and has a very inviting atmosphere. I only wish that it was closer so that we could come more often!
Gabriella and Paolo are so welcoming and great hosts. They took care of as if we were at home. The place is amazing with lots of pets and farm animals. Landscape is stuning. The rooms are very comfortable and clean.
The food, OMG the food. Gabriella is an AMAZING cook, she makes miracles. She also gives cooking classes. I would strongly recommed their place and looking forward to make another visit.
My friend and I stayed here and had a lovely relaxing time. We struggled a little to find the place but with our limited Italian found it eventually. Paolo and his wife were very accommodating. We ate both nights that we stayed there. Good to chat to the other guests. It was the best idea - didn't have to worry about driving around in the dark and could relax in the garden with a bottle or two! The hot tub was a fun touch as well. Thank you!
We enjoyed a lovely stay at this beautiful farm. Every morning we were greeted by our hostess who treated us to several different cakes and delicacies that she prepared for us. The location is ideal for visiting many of the hill towns. Charming buildings with a collection of farm animals.
One of the best experiences we ever had. Loved the Place, the People and the Dinners on the terrace. I can still smell and taste the wonderful food. Go there. You'll like it. We loved it.
We spent 2 nights at Casale il Caggio and it was an amazing experience... They have such a beautiful place with an impressive pool and hot tub that we enjoyed a lot after long day visiting around... It is really well located to visit the South of Tuscany, Sienna, Montepulciano, Cortone... The best part was the hospitality of Paolo and Gabriella!!! They make us feel confortable, and we had 2 dinners there and they were amazing. We also took the cooking lesson that was so much fun and simple with incredible results...The breakfast was insane, so fresh and tasty, it was like a brunch in a big hotel but even better since everything was handmade!! Incredible, if you have the chance to book there, don't miss it!!
This beautiful property was outdone only by the cooking and hospitality. We cannot say enough about how gracious and accommodating Gabriella and Paolo turned out to be. Cannot wait to stay longer next time. Amazing gluten free food as well!!! Highly recommended.
This Bed and Breakfast was amazing! We really enjoyed our stay and the lovely hosts. The pool was clean, with lots of chairs around it to sit in, and a nearby goats were a welcome surprise. I can't say enough about how nice the property is, with tons of succulents and rosemary, as well as goats, sheep, and two adorable dogs. It is surrounded by olive groves and sunflower fields - couldn't be prettier. Plus, the one dinner we had at he place was sooo good and worthwhile. There must have been 8 courses! And the breakfast spread is equally impressive, with plenty of variety in pies, meats, cheeses, and bread. I eat gluten free and the hosts were able to prepare gluten free pasta, bread, and a bunch of different, delicious dishes for me - I couldn't believe my luck! I highly recommend staying here.
Amazing stay in Tuscany. The epitome of what I would think anyone would call a classic Tuscan experience...from the lovely grounds to Gabriela's wonderful cooking class. My first afternoon there I relaxed in my room with the shutters/windows open with the wind blowing in...doesn't get much better. This is exactly what I was looking for. I wish I had more time there to use the pool, hot tub, and rest of the grounds but that will have to be next time. I met a wonderful Swedish family while staying there that made my time there even more delightful. Paolo was kind and usually busy taking care of the property. To be noted, they both speak English but it is somewhat limited so if you're a purely English speaker you're not going to find much of a conversation partner in them if traveling alone. Thankful for the other guests company during my stay. I'd recommend this lovely home again and again to those visiting this amazing region.
