The main issue with this place is the location. The host claims that it's 15 min to downtown Rome and to the airport, which may be true if you're planning on having a car. With traffic, this still may not be true. Taking public transportation to/from downtown Rome takes about an hour. The place is not in Rome; it's in a small town just off the highway by a bunch of malls. The kitchen was also meant to be fully equipped, but lacked certain essential things. Like drawers. There is nowhere to keep silverware except for the drying rack, and many things already seemed not fully cleaned. The host was very nice and accommodating, but don't go expecting to stay in Rome.

Response from Alexia:
yes, you right, the location is not in downtown but in the western part of Rome. This is not a small town but Rome. In downtown you'll find another range of price. taking public transportation to downtown takes about 15/20 min but I'm sorry if in this period there are "working in progress "along te main road and the car doesn't resolve the situation, in fact. There are not drawers but doors of the kitchen unit. Anyway, many thanks Alexia

We planned to stay here for 4 nights in Rome. It is not difficult to use the bus from there. We left after the first night because of cleanliness issues. The dishes were sticky, bed was itchy, and the floor had visible dirt. We didn't expect something fancy or anything but we felt the need to clean when we arrived. It was get uncomfortable for us. If you want to open the windows you will be looking at the neighbors in the other apartments sitting outside on the lowest floor next to surrounding outside wall. It was an interesting experience if you want to stay outside of Rome for cheap and see that type of lifestyle here. For us, we did not find it relaxing to come home to because it felt like we were in a cave. You get what you pay for...

I'm sorry but this review is not a good review. she escaped (literally escape)the day after check in from my house but she left the key on the table..inside!!no words, nothing. When she was out send me a "request of cancellation". The excuse was that the house was dirty "unconfy" and not just she requested me a compensation of 150 Euro...but I've earned 130!!!! no negative reviews neither via voice !! she said:I would not be surprise if you asked others to not leave a bad review"NEVER DONE.this is my job.We are very careful with cleaning. Better than hotel.Anyway I live up there, you could tell me..and don't ESCAPE!! and just a little tip: look at photos and read before booking. SHAME on you for leaving in this way.Really bad experience!!!!

The place was great. It's location is fare but the airbnb was clean and felt like home. The host stayed up until 1AM waiting for us just to check us in since our plane was delayed. It truly is worth the money and it is spacious and ideal for a single, couple, family with one child, or three friends that are really close. It has a gas stove and oven to prepare and cook food. It honestly felt like I never left my home and entered a homie place but in Rome. Down the street there is a bus stop where people don't pay for it. I think is free, but I don't know I didn't pay the six times I used it. On the way to the bus stop there is this cafe where you can grab cappuccino for a good price and the bus takes you to a metro stop and from there you can get a day pass for €7 or €1,50 for a one way anywhere in Rome. The day pass is unlimited anywhere in Rome for 24 hours and as many uses of the metro as you like.

The apartment is cozy and is equipped with everything you need. You can reach Rome (forum romanum) in about 30-40 minutes. Same goes for the beach. By the way, if you take the bus, it is "free" indeed. We used the bus several times and never paid. We (my girlfriend and I) can recommend this Airbnb.
