Pilar is my new favorite person in Spain! Such an amazing host and an even better person. I felt very cared for and would absolutely recommend anyone to stay with her. She's most welcome in San Francisco whenever she'd like to come, I'd be honored to return the hospitality.

Pilar is a wonderful host, indeed you'd be hard pressed to find someone better. Pillar is a ray of light, and it was a true privilege to spend a week with her. If I could have stayed longer I would have.

It was a very nice time staying with Pilar. She showed us around Pamplona and really made us feel comfortable in the city! She is very welcoming and also has the sweetest dog in the world. We loved staying here and would recommend it to anyone!

Response from Pilar:
I hope you had a very good time. And it is good advice for travellers to contact the host before the arrival , because Pamplona is a bit of chaos during the festival and it facilitates everything flowing for both parts, travellers and host. I was glad to have a happy couple at home. Have a good year.

Pilar was the best host! Everything you could possibly need is there. Her home is impeccably clean, extremely close to town by a beautiful river walk, and even close to the train station. Upon arriving Pilar went out of her way to walk us into town, tell us all of the best places to eat and drink (they have a special Cider and brew house). She told us about San Fermin traditions and the different parts of the festival happening throughout the day/night. She even has a cute, extremely well behaved dog Addie. Pilar knows many languages and was kind enough to record a little clip in French for us for one of our friends back home. Just another small example of her kindness and willingness to go out of her way to make people feel welcomed and have fun. The other part about our experience that we loved so much were the other guests. Throughout our many Airbnb experiences, we've always done "entire home" so we were a little nervous to share the space with many other people. There was an Australian couple and 2 other Americans staying there and we became instant friends. We hung out for our 3 days there together, got meals and even did the run together! We're hosting one of the other Americans this weekend as he makes his journey home. Pilar has a way of making everyone feel comfortable and at home and we are forever grateful for the experience we had with her. We will definitely return and stay with her again and we highly recommend that you make your stay in Pamplona as epic as ours was by staying with Pilar!!

I would highly HIGHLY recommend staying with Pilar if you visit Pamplona. Pilar went above and beyond as a host, such as lending me a rain jacket and umbrella or driving me 20 minutes into the countryside to show me her favorite restaurant. Her apartment and rooms are extremely comfortable and she keeps everything immaculate. The apartment is about 10 minutes walk to the old town and probably 20-25 to the center of old town, but on a nice path by the river and then into the beautiful old city so it passes quickly. Bonus is that the paths by the river are great places to run! The apartment is right next to two major bus stops so transportation further than the old city area is extremely easy as well.

I can't say enough about my stay with Pilar and my time in Pamplona. Pilar was an outstanding host, very helpful, friendly, and the life of the party. I was in Pamplona for the last day of San Fermin, and she did all she could to ensure I had a great stay, including meeting me at the train station, showing me the way to town, inviting me out with her friends for a traditional Basque lunch at a Cidreria, and arranging tickets to a bullfight that afternoon. Her flat is conveniently located within walking distance to the train station, and the city centre. There are multiple rooms listed in the flat, so it's a great place to meet other travelers or strike out on your own, whatever you prefer. The room was clean, bright and very comfortable. (There are also black-out shades on the windows for those crucial mid-day naps during San Fermin!). My stay at Pilar's was everything I expected and more. I'd highly recommend her flat. I wouldn't stay anywhere else!
