The Sapling Treehouse is a luxury cabin stilted among young oaks on the slice of Hill Country heaven that we call HoneyTree Farm. The Sapling overlooks the south bank of the Palo Alto Creek to the distant hills beyond. It has a king bed, a well-appointed kitchenette, and a large master bath with a double rain shower and soak tub. There is a romantic lounging gazebo on its large private deck as well as a grill & griddle combo with propane provided.

The space
The Sapling Treehouse is tucked into a grove of young Texas Live Oaks. String bulbs will guide you up winding steps into the bright space, lit with a wall of windows letting in gorgeous views and casting natural light around the classy and comfortable main room. The king bed is two steps up on an elevated platform, and the fun reading nook can be accessed by a built-in ladder beyond.

Down on the main level is a galley style kitchenette with a mini-fridge (separate freezer compartment), microwave, toaster oven, Keurig and pods, water kettle and a 2-burner stove. Pots, pans, dishes and utensils are well-stocked for a couple’s getaway.

The expansive master bath includes a his/hers double shower and a six-foot soak tub in front of a giant window looking out into the privacy of the trees and wildlife beyond (curtains optional).

The large private deck has a romantic gazebo in which to relax while your steaks (or veggies) sizzle on the private propane grill.

Nature surrounds the Sapling (the closest cabin is about 50 yards away) with all manner of songbirds, wild deer, armadillos and many more. Come relax at the Sapling! Everything is better in a treehouse!

I am a husband and father in the Texas Hill Country who enjoys sharing its natural beauty with guests from around the world. My wife and I designed and built each of the five luxury treehouses at HoneyTree Farm (she has good taste and I am a carpenter). We love hosting guests up in the trees on our wooded and wild 10-acre slice of Texas.
