Hi everyone! Thank you for considering our apartment as your home-away from home as you explore everything that NYC has to offer! If you'd like to know the availability of the apartment, please review our calendar on the dates that you're interested in. It's always up-to date.
Please, please, please, also take the time to review the listing photos, apt description, and our reviews - they may help to answer any questions you might have, otherwise feel free to contact us. We try to respond as quickly as we can. :-)
About The Apartment:
-This listing is for an entire apartment rental (This means you have the ENTIRE apartment to yourself you will not share the space with anyone)
-The apartment is a one bedroom with a full bed
-There's a blow-up bed for a third guest, if needed
-Linens, towels, blow dryer are provided
-The apartment is on a 3rd floor an elevator building
-Internet access and video streaming are available for FREE
-Plates, utensils are all available as well
-Skeeter (our cat) will NO LONGER be in the apartment as we will be taking him with us (for all those with allergy concerns/questions)
-For bookings over a $700, we do offer the option of paying in installments if it makes things easier for you!
-We do not charge any additional fees (i.e. cleaning fee, security deposit and etc.)
-There's street parking but that's fairly difficult to get close to the building. We would recommend using a parking garage which is just 2 blocks away from the apt. The daily rates are really cheap.
-The apartment is situated between two subway lines (A Express line and 1 Local line) both are within walking distance from the apartment. (1 line is about a 5 minute walk, the A is about a 7-10 minute walk)
-It's roughly a 25 minute subway ride to get to Time Square (42nd Street)
-Check-in and Check-out times are flexible based on the apartment's availability.
-The area is located in Upper Manhattan, it's called Fort George.
-The area is definitely safe (We wouldn't live here if we felt otherwise) and generally quiet
Thanks for your time and we hope that you choose our place! :-)
Chie and Kay *Yes, the pronunciation of our names actually rhyme :-) *
My stay at Chie & Key apartment was my first airbnb and couldn't ask for it to be any better. They have specific check in instructions and good communication, also left little helpful notes around apartment for assistance that was great! Apartment was just as nice and clean as in pictures would love staying here agian.
Everything was good, we were glad to stay in this apartment. Ghie and Kay left all necessary instructions and answered for all our questions. We used A train to get to the place, it was a mistake)) we were too tired to go up to the hill with our luggage, so use 190 or 191 street (as recommended).
thanks, Chie and Kay
The apartment was lovely just how I expected it to be I had a very good time and I would recommend this apartment to anyone ! Thanks again Chie and Kay
Nice apartment, good location, very clean!
This place was perfect! Clean, bright open and airy. Just like the pics! I loved it and would certainly return. Wonderful experience, thanks for being a part of the airbnb family!
Clean, cozy, and very friendly and helpful neighbors!
Clean! Great Location! Smells Good! Wifi! Well decorated! Did I mention how good it smelled? Lol look no further... Book with these two folk! You just have to!
From the start of our stay, we had an excellent experience. We accidentally broke the key to the apartment by putting it in the wrong keyhole. I contacted Chie and he offered several options and ended up meeting us himself after work. Everything in the apartment is just as pictured by Airbnb. The apartment is immaculate, smells incredible, and seemed like new. Location is great. We took the 1 (3 min walk) most days and connected to the A Express (2 stops away). The A takes you just about anywhere you want to go. We were completely in the dark about the subway, and this location made it INCREDIBLY easy. This was our first time using Airbnb, and Chie made everything easy, smooth, and wonderfully enjoyable. Four thumbs up! :-)
The apartment looks just like it does in the pictures. Very clean and well kept and near the subway stations. Chie was a great host as he answered any questions I had very quickly. He even provided a list of local food spots to eat nearby his apartment when i asked.
We mostly took the 1 as the subway station is really close to the apartment and we didn't have to walk up the hill. My only problem with the 1 was that during our stay there was some maintenance being doing and it didn't run after 10pm.
Overall our stay at Chie and Kay's apartment was great, I definitely recommend it if you don't want to spend a lot of money on a hotel.
I had a great time at Chie and Kay's apartment. I had the pleasure of meeting both individuals and they were absolutely pleasant. They were really sweet and really great at accommodating our needs, i.e. dropping our bags off earlier than check-in.
The apartment is just as pictured. They even leave an old computer you can use to surf the web. There are little post-its around the house with little tips and reminders. The apartment can get a little chilly but they have a portable space heater than easily heats up the rooms. The place was really clean and smelled great.
Its very close to the subway; the A and the 1. We spent most of our time on the 1 because it was only a few blocks whereas the A you have to climb this huge hill. On a nice warm day it probably is not that bad but with the snow, ice and cold weather we didn't mind the few extra stops.
One last tip we spent most of our time in the lower east side. If staying here you'll need time management. The ride to midtown is fine but to the lower east side is much longer. Just plan for a longer commute.
