The space
In 2003 we purchased this tiny cabin in the “Wilds of Pennsylvania.” Our daughter named it Timberdoodle Lodge for the trail in the national forest across the road. At the time, Timberdoodle Lodge consisted of a tiny two-bedroom cabin and a garage. (Pictures of its transformation are available.)

For our family it was an escape … from the city, from our busy lives. As time progressed it became the place for Thanksgiving, for weekends away from college in Ohio and Pennsylvania for our kids, a place ALL of our friends wanted to visit. Back then we couldn’t wait to pile in the car after a long work week and drive 7 hours from the city to our little piece of heaven.

It wasn’t long before that little garage next door to the little cabin in the woods became additional space for guests. After a major renovation it was named the Kellidoodle Cottage for a friend who had the idea to make it a guest house. It — and the larger cabin next door — has been the scene for family and friends who became our family -- of many good parties, good times and a lot of love!

In 2011 when we decided to retire, it was to Timberdoodle Lodge. The “little cabin in the woods” grew to better accommodate full-time life. Another cottage was built for older family members, and the Kellidoodle Cottage continues to be a getaway for all.

Now we want to share the Kellidoodle Cottage with you. Please join us for a quiet, relaxing visit.
