We offer an oasis of peace in a simple and cosy atmosphere.
We are just a few meters away from the sea, 1 km from the airport and 10 km from the citycentre, in a quiet and green district, not far from the most beautiful towns in the surroundings (Ruvo, Bitonto, Trani, Giovinazzo, Matera and more).
Our place is well connected with metro line, railways (FS and "Bari nord"), urban and suburban busses (Amtab and Cotrap).
Car and bike parking.
A wide, multilingual range of books
I came to Bari with a task in mind. I was on holiday with my best friend, but I brought with me a dozen or so pictures of Bari, taken by my father when he was stationed there in WWII. Had hoped to find a rickshaw driver to take us around to find the spots he had photographed seventy years ago.
Who knew! Roberto picked us up from the bus station for a small fee, and when he heard my story, he spent about thirty minutes driving us around the old city, pointing out places my dad may have gone. He has EXCELLENT english skills- and an enchanting accent! He is so intelligent and interesting to talk to and loves his city and his country and you can learn so much from him. Lavinia is his business partner, and once he got us to the house, and up to the apartment, he took off to run some errands. The house is EVERYTHING it promises to be and more. They rent out two bedrooms and take turns staying at the B&B when they have guests. Lavinia arrived a short time later and offered to take us to a restaurant. We walked about seven or eight blocks to a restaurant called Y Paridiso. Hands down, best meal in Italy up to that point on our trip- delicious seafood and pasta and desserts out of this world! But the real treasure at that meal was Lavinia! She worries about not being able to speak english, but she does fabulous. Once she had heard of our project, we hired her to drive us and she made it all HAPPEN the next day, as well as pretty much giving us a personal tour of the old city. She, also knows copious amounts of the history of her city and her country as well as the politics of both. They were both WONDERFUL hosts and I would most highly reccomend them as hosts and also Lavinia as a tour guide! They are amazing hosts!
Stayed at Quattrob for 1 night and it was perfect for what we needed to just lay down our heads before heading to the airport early the next morning. Roberto and Lavinia were amazingly helpful and went out of their way to help us. Lavinia was up at 5:30am with us to make us a quick breakfast before we caught our flight. We had some friends with us to drop at the ferry and Roberto led us all the way to the port! It is a great location-it is close to the sea, the airport, ferry port and the town of Bari. Is very simple if that is what you are looking for, no tv in the room, no mirror but has great wi-fi connection and clean! We would recommend this accommodation to others!
