About This Listing
A light, bright, spacious one bedroom apartment in central London between Bloomsbury, Kings Cross and Clerkenwell. With high ceilings and more windows than the average London apartment, this apartment has been fitted with quality appliances including Nespresso machine, 42 inch plasma 3D TV, washer/dryer and dishwasher. Stylishly minimalist, it is fitted out with a luxury kitchen and bathroom with waterfall shower with plenty of hot water, heated towel rail, UK king (equivalent to US queen) size bed and 600 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets.
The apartment is positioned close to major transport links: Chancery Lane, Holborn , Russell Square and Kings Cross stations are all within 10-12 minutes walking distance.
Situated on the 5th floor and with double -glazed windows, you retreat from the busy London street into a surprisingly peaceful oasis (especially for Central London). Although the building has no lift, (I will of course help you with your bags) the apartment overlooks the rooftops of central London including Centrepoint and BT tower as well as enjoying beautiful afternoon sunshine and sunset.
Thanks to the Central Line, you can take a tube from Chancery Lane to Notting Hill Gate in 15 minutes, or to Liverpool Street Station in 7 minutes. However, it is literally in the middle of so many amazing places that an easy walk or quick bus will take you to explore Oxford Street, Covent Garden, the British Museum, the British Library, Trafalgar Sqaure (and the National Portrait Gallery), Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, the River Thames and South Bank (the Tate Modern and the London Eye). For eating nearby the flat there are loads of restaurants on the street below or why not discover on one side the gorgeous restaurants of Exmouth Markets, St John Street and Smithfield’s, and other side, Bloomsbury, Soho, Noho (Charlotte Street), and only slightly further Mayfair and the West End. Situated in the area of one of the four Inns of Court (professional association for barristers and judges) the apartment is also very close to the Royal Courts of Justice.
Whatever your interest, I can provide you with great recommendations for wonderful London restaurants and a simple mobile phone and sim card if you require.
Any questions please just ask. I look forward to meeting with you.
No smoking in the apartment. Please be respectful to neighbours. No parties please.
A House Manual will be provided on arrival which includes tips and explanations as well as rules but one major request is that you please do not put hot pans on the kitchen worktop. Thank you!
I had a wonderful experience staying at Jac's flat for a 5 day stretch in London. Jac was amazingly responsive and helpful, both before I arrived, as well as once I was onsite - she even was kind enough to meet me at the nearby Tube station to walk me to the flat.
The flat was perfect - clean, great views, nice amenities (rain shower!) and everything to make you feel comfortable.
The location was close to two tube stations, making all of London just minutes away. It was on a relatively quiet street, which I appreciated.
I completely recommend this flat, both for the actual apartment itself, and the wonderful hospitality that the host (Jac) provides.
Jac's flat is very conveniently located near several bus and train stations, so it was easy for us to get around. The two rooms are very comfortable, with a sofa, a table, a DVD player, and a very well equipped kitchen so stylish and inviting that I cooked more than I had anticipated. The bed and soft bedding made for a really good night's sleep. The street is a bit noisy but the double windows make up for it. I'd go back in a heartbeat. Thanks, Jac!
Jac's apartment is really amazing, very large and immaculate with a wonderful view and 15 minutes on walking from Russel square and King's cross. Jac is very kind guest, she provided milk and cereals for my child and bread for me. I warmly recommend jac's place to all Airbnb guests.
Wonderful experience! Jac was very helpful in accommodating our arrival and departure times, and very available and kind.
As for the flat, it was absolutely beautiful, clean, and serene. I loved the modern decor. One especially wonderful aspect of the flat was the kitchen, the induction cooktop was great, as were the pots/pans/ knives etc.
I highly recommend this posting, wonderful location for a peaceful and quiet retreat in the heart of London.
Fantastic space, great location, wonderful touches from host Jac. Loved the artisanal bread, tea, coffee and organic milk waiting for us upon arrival. A well stocked kitchen. It was terrific. Jac knows a lot about food and can give restaurant recommendations.
This was a wonderful Airbnb experience. Comfortable and Clean! The apartment exhibits a modern charm and warm and intimate "home" experience. Everything you need! Jac is a wonderful host, great with communication and so amazing about times, changes and anything one might worry about-especially first time users! Thank you Jac .... You will always be where I look first upon visiting london.
