Casita Cacao is a renovated shed turned into an off-grid tiny house. It is approximately 430 sq ft. but has everything you need to feel more than comfortable! It was designed to provide a space where you can unplug and reset surrounded by nature- while protecting nature.

The space
The Casita is located behind the main house on a 5 acre property. You can enjoy and have the private space all to yourself. The Casita is solar powered, has a tankless water heater, runs on its own water tank, and features the Natures Head composting toilet (instructions available on how to use). We believe there's great satisfaction in a self-sustaining way of living. Therefore, over the past few years we have been turning our place into a homestead. You will hear, be close and have access to the farm animals during your stay.
We are less than a mile away from the motorcycle crossing. 30 minutes away from the Wrightwood Mountains or the Big Bear Mountains for skiing, snowboarding or taking some hikes. We are also just a few minutes from Cal Earth Institute! Even though we are nestled in the desert we are still just a short 5-7 minutes from shopping centers and less than half a mile away from the 15 freeway- a perfect spot to stop and rest when traveling.

Where you’ll be

Hesperia, California, United States

Did we mention that we are surrounded by a beautiful desert landscape? The desert provides amazing star gazing views, cotton candy sunsets and quiet slow days. Be prepared to drive on a dirt road but only for about 5 minutes.
If you are into motorcycle riding there are plenty of trails around us you can take. Some guest might not like: 1) the dirt roads 2) the animal sounds 3) there is not much lighting at night because of the nature of our rural area.

Hello, We are Zelin and Natalie Cacao. Just two city folks gone desert country!

A few years ago we decided to raise our little family differently, away from
the hustle and bustle of the city. We found our 5 acre property nestled in the high desert hills and felt it was the perfect place to do just that AND start a homestead- with ZERO experience.
Fast forward to now, we cannot imagine living anywhere else and doing anything else! It is such a joy to now be able to share our space with future guest and our community!
