The Space

Step into this completely gracious, charming two full bedroom apartment in the heart of Cobble Hill Brooklyn, just next to Brooklyn Heights.

This spacious apartment was completely renovated in 2012. Gorgeous large living room with american style open kitchen to the living/dining area for easy entertaining. Because of it's Eastern and Western exposures, the apartment is filled with sunshine at all times.

The master bedroom has a queen size bed and the second bedroom fits another queen size bed together with a baby crib for the little ones.

We are located on the 3rd and last floor of the building, so your are not bothered by other neighbors in the building.

We have WIFI and Apple TV available in bed & living room, with Netflix, Hulu and HBO. There is also laundry facility nextdoor where they will take care of your laundry for you for a very cheap price.

Uniquely well located ,this apartment is one block away from the F-train going straight to Time square or Central park in 30 min or the vibrant lower east side in 10 minutes.

The Neighborhood

Welcome to Brooklyn, very green and having a villagy atmosphere right at the feet of the Big Apple!
Our apartment is located Cobble in Hill / Caroll Gardens, Babies and Strollers is what you see most of the locals carrying with them on the streets while hanging out in the weekends in this rapidly gentrifying surrounding. There is a kids playground just around the corner for the little ones.

The direct neighborhood is lively, loads of cozy bars and great restaurants on Smith & Court street, one of the best dining areas in Brooklyn. We live in New York City, don't expect the same quietness as a remote getaway to the Rockies.

Prospect park (email hidden) to discover Brooklyn, the main difference with Central Park is the absence of tourists :) Ideal to watch locals play Baseball on a Sunday afternoon and have a relaxed BBQ.

A 20 minute walk will lead you to the Brooklyn piers with gorgeous views of downtown Manhattan across the river. The Brooklyn Piers have been freshly refurbished with amazing amenities for kids playgrounds, beach volleyball, soccer fields, walking & cycling and BBQ facilities.

Getting around

NYC lives and breathes through the Subway, luckily with our perfect location you are just one black away from the F-train at Bergen street. The F-train will take you to Wall street in 15 min, to Central Park and Time square in 30 min and to the beaches of Coney Island in 40 minutes!

If you are arriving by car, there is free parking space available in the streets around our apartment.

Check In
  • Jonathan stayed in touch with us via email with all our questions. The beds were very comfortable. The apartment seemed bigger than it actually is. Very comfortable and cute. Walking distance to lots of great streets in Brooklyn. The apartment itself is not in the best neighborhood but if you walk 1 and 1/2 blocks the neighborhood changes. Would recommend!

  • Jon and Tienneke were great hosts! They were quick and gracious in their communications prior to our stay, and we felt quite welcome upon on our arrival as we ran into Tienneke on her way out. The apartment was just as advertised, and is a block away from one of the best neighborhoods in the entire city. This (email hidden) to spend a weekend in Brooklyn (and even better now that there are green borough taxis in the city, something we did not have when we lived here 3 years ago!). We highly recommend them.

  • This was my first time using Airbnb, and it could not have been better. The hosts were very responsive and the place was exactly as described. Beautiful 2 bedroom apartment with a full kitchen and living room. The housing facility across the street did create some night time noise, but nothing that wasn't blocked by closing the window. The bathroom was beautiful and fully stocked with towels. Overall, an A+ experience and I would definitely do it again.

  • Our stay at Jonathan and Tienneke's home could not have been better! It is exactly as pictured, comfy beds and immaculate. Great location, good communication and all the comforts of home. I would definitely recommend a stay there!

  • We had a great stay and Jonathan was extremely accommodating and gracious, especially when we needed to arrive a little bit early on our check-in day. The apartment is clean, airy, and bright and worked great for us and our two preschool-aged kids. There is also a nice playground right around the corner, which we loved. The large public housing complex across the street can make for some nighttime street noise but we weren't too bothered by it. We loved being right around the corner from Smith Street restaurants and the F train, and also within a 12 or so minute walk to the major transportation (email hidden). We hope to be back!

  • Jonathan and Tienneke's apartment was clean and comfortable and they were very accommodating about check-in and check-out times. They also offered to drop off the keys at our son's apartment in Brooklyn before our arrival which was extremely thoughtful. We would recommend this apartment to anyone who needs 2 bedrooms.

  • Our family spent two nights at Jonathan and Tienneke's lovely Brooklyn apartment. The place was immaculate, the beds comfortable and the location convenient to restaurants and shops in a great neighborhood, and the subway to Manhattan. The street was active on Friday night with a liquor store below and the major public apartment complex across the street but fine for anyone with a good city comfort level. All in all much recommended!

  • Wonderful apartment, wonderful hosts. Great neighborhood -- all of Boerum Hill, Carroll Gardens and Cobble Hill at the doorstep -- and location is convenient to subways, grocery store, etc. The apartment is handsome, well-kept, and very well set-up for kids, too. Communication with Jonathan and Tieneke was very good. We thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated our stay.

  • The apartment looks just like the photos! I was a little nervous about the street right in front of the apartment because it was not quite as pristine as the streets around my daughter's apartment in Brooklyn Heights, but any people I spoke to were very nice, and I frequently came in quite late at night. I felt safe enough going from my cab to the door. As other reviews have noted Jonathan and Tieneke were prompt in replying to e-mails, and it was so lovely that they mailed the key to me so that I could get in immediately when I arrived. Great restaurants are nearby such as Luluc and La Patisserie. Very comfortable bed and clean, pretty bathroom!

  • It was a very convenient locations for me, but the apartment was just as open and posh as pictured. My sister and her young child was with us, and it was a relief to have a place already set up to accommodate a child. What they don't mention is that they're 1 block away from a delicious bagel place - that was an unexpected bonus!

Originally from Belgium, we moved in 2011 to Brooklyn, my wife Tienneke and son Arthur, for professional reasons. We love to visit Manhattan and Brookyn, well everything that the City has to offer us, and that is plenty!! Our hobbies are travelling around the world, music (concerts) and movies. Our baby girl Charlotte joined our family early 2014 adding an extra bunch of activity and fun to our lives!
