The Space

We've owned this condo for 9 years and have shared it with guests who keep coming back. In the summer months there is amazing hiking, exploring, shopping and Storyland for the kids. In the winter, we're surrounded by several ski resorts, the closest of which is Attitash, but there is also Cranmore, Wildcat and Bear Mountain too. But the Fall is the most colorful time of year.
Our 3 bedroom condo sleeps a max of 8 people (assuming some are sharing beds)!
The master bedroom/bath has a king-sized, Tempurpedic bed (it's actually twin beds pushed together with King pads, sheets, etc.) The master bath has a Jacuzzi tub and a separate shower.
The second bedroom has a platform bed with a super thick Foam mattress on it, and is like sleeping on a cloud. Firm, but comfortable. The second bedroom has it's own bathroom.
The loft on the third floor has two twin beds and a double bed in it. It's a great place to put the kids so that they have their own space.
The Saco river is just behind the condo and there are stairs going right down into it in our own backyard. Just up the path is an entry so that fans of tubing can hop in, ride some great rapids (small) and get out at our stairs. Our guests enjoy doing that over and over again as the afternoon wears on. For those who'd like to simply splash around and stay cool, there are very shallow pools of water just across the 20 foot river that are perfect for sunbathing and relaxing.
North Conway has great outlet shopping and restaurants for those who don't want to let the day pass without getting out!
There is bus service to North Conway from Boston & Portsmouth.
The condo is available during ski season, but it's most fun in the summer with great hiking, shopping and exploring nearby.
The condo association has only 9 units and there is a bed and breakfast inn on the property as well. This is a very quiet, owner-occupied complex with no small children on a regular basis. Most of the kids on the property are guests of the inn. The majority of owners either have grown children or small grandchildren who visit occasionally. We are a very close-knit community which makes this a perfect refuge for those seeking a retreat from the world.

  • We had a wonderful time in Bartlett! The condo was quiet and we loved having the river out in the backyard. The condo was close to Attitash where we went for some summer fun on the mountain. Lisa was fantastic. She answered all of my questions in a timely manner and was very personal. I would definitely recommend this condo as a great location to rent.

  • This place is spacious. Well suited for groups. It was quiet during our stay, the river is beautiful and right out back. We enjoyed a wonderful hike just 15 minutes away. Good location for leaf-peeping. The host was good with her communications.

  • We loved our stay in Bartlett. The condo is very comfortable, great location for Attitash, North Conway, and Mt Washington. We had a ball tubing in the river. the neighbors were very nice and welcoming. Very family friendly place! Hope to come back again in the future.

  • Spacious condo. Excellent communications. Central location. A great option for families, couples, and those looking for something different than the usual run of the mill hotel or getaway.

  • It was a great experience. Lisa, the host, is very friendly and helpful. The house is comfortable and spacious. There is a large kitchen.

The location is great. While we didn't go to StoryLand, we had a lot of fun hiking in nearby (20~30 min driving) white mountain trails. Lisa provides great books for trail recommendations. There is also a grocery store two miles away along Rt 302.

The highlight for my son and I is river tubing. Just one minute from the back of the house, there is a river with slow and clear water and beautiful boulders---perfect for tubing on hot summer days.

The only pity is that the house doesn't seem to have enough hot water to fill the Jacuzzi tub in the master bath room. But it's just a minor issue.

I am from Gloucester, MA, married for 25 years, no kids, two dogs. I own my own business educating people on their right to choose green electricity in deregulated states (MA, IL, NY, NJ, CT, MD & PA). My husband is a digital print-press operator in town. We're fiercely devoted to the concept of "shop local" and keeping profits in our own communities. We buy our goods and services from friends when that's possible (Avon, Pampered Chef, Viridian Electricity etc.). In our spare time, Ev plays guitar and bass in a band (Roots 66) and at a "barn jam" that meets bi-monthly. He loves his music and also loves to make beer. I enjoy knitting, spending time with friends and family and teaching people how to (un)cook a RAW foods diet. I have a passion for the markets (options and futures) and manage online trading groups for TDAmeritrade. We spend as much time as possible at our place in N. Conway, NH and LOVE jumping in the river behind the house to cool off in the heat of the summer.
