LEAVE NO TRACE!
"Leave no trace" is the only rule of the place.
Please do like at home. But you have to keep in mind that this home is shared by other people all the time. It doesn't take a lot of efforts to have a clean, tidy, calm house, if everybody collaborates...
So "leave no trace" means... leave no trace!
If you cook, leave no trace.
If you take off your boots... don't leave them in the way.
And if you walk with it on the floor during the Winter : leave no trace!
Same thing if you're having the shower of your life : leave no trace!
When you leave... empty your mini-fridge or give the food to other roommates!
And if it is late, around 10-11PM, in the lobby... sound is considered as a trace.
Please be quiet and kind to the other people who live in the house who may sleep. And please tell to others they should remain quiet if they are feeling too much social around our marvelous bar! ;)
As you can see, there are uncountable ways of leaving no trace. There are more and more and more... but we can't write them all here. That wouldn't sound fun and would be useless. Why? Because leave no trace is a logic way of living. It is a way to respect the the life space of others, a way to share without hurts.
So please, leave no trace :)
And everything will be fun and fine!
Otherwise... you are free to do whatever you like inside the house... except smoking, playing with bare fire, and running naked (although it could be tolerated)...
See ya in da house :)
I stayed in Montreal 2 nights with Noémie, the house was great, with a big kitchen and living room area which had been assembled in a imaginative way with real character and in a great location. I didn't actual meet Noémie as my train was over 3 hours late getting in but I did a self check in which was very straightforward.
Noemie is a fantastic host. She met me when I checked into her place which is centrally located at st. catherines st in downtown Montreal. She gave me a tour of the facilities, which is kitsch cool and artistic. The room is exactly like the picture and I loved it. She went above and beyond to make my stay a very comfortable one. I would definitely recommend Noemie's funky home as a ideal place to stay.
Checked in pretty late at night, Noémie and "the roomies" were very flexible and helped me get set up. The house has many quirks (exactly as described) that made feel right at home (that sort of Brooklyn Bushwick Bohemian thing), and home to a fun group of people. Honestly, I was almost never home except to shower and sleep, and though the room is street facing and a tad noisy at night, I certainly didn't come to Montreal to go to bed early! It fit my needs perfectly, good times, yeah?
We were very happy with our stay! A little rough around the edges but loved the feel of the place. Generally very clean and (website hidden). Catherine's was closed off, and we stayed during the week so the street noise was minimal. The hosts were great and it felt like home.
