----- MEET THE HOUSE! -----
Lamps and weird knick-knacks dwelling with antique furniture and cosy sofas, torn tapestries, crooked hardwood floors and squeaking steps and doors makes all the charm and the warmth of the place. Built in the end of 19th century, The house has been preserved from aging, but in respect of its past, which makes the place very "storytelling"...
Amongst many vocations this place had, we keep artefacts from a past Chinese food restaurant and a retro women's clothes shop. Other non house-related artefacts fill the house. Discover all this while coming to our place in Montreal. And ask one of your hosts to translate what the walls and objects don't tell clearly to everyone...

LEAVE NO TRACE!
Please do like at home. But please, this home is shared by other people all of the time. It doesn't take a lot of efforts to have a clean, tidy, calm house, if everybody collaborates...
So "leave no trace" means... leave no trace!
If you cook, leave no trace.
If you take off your boots... don't leave them in the way.
And if you walk with it on the floor during the Winter : leave no trace!
Same thing if you're having the shower of your life : leave no trace!
When you leave... empty your mini-fridge or give the food to other roommates!
And if it is late, around 10-11PM, in the lobby... sound is considered as a trace.
Please be quiet and kind to other roommates. And please tell the other roommates they should remain quiet if they are feeling too much social around our marvelous bar! ;)
As you can see, there are uncountable ways of leaving no trace. There are more and more and more... but we can't write them all here. That wouldn't sound fun and would be useless. Why? Because leave no trace is a logic way of living. It is a way to respect the the life space of others, a way to share without hurts. And we think, with experience, that you truly understand this. Airbnb users are really respectful people, and if we comparate to other guests we had, you're the best so far!
So as "Leave no trace" is the only rule of the place : Please leave no trace :)
And everything will be fun and fine!
Otherwise... you are free to do whatever you like inside the house... except smoking, playing with bare fire, and running naked (although it could be tolerated)...
See ya in da house :)
We were very happy with our stay! A little rough around the edges but loved the feel of the place. Generally very clean and (website hidden). Catherine's was closed off, and we stayed during the week so the street noise was minimal. The hosts were great and it felt like home.
Everyone was friendly, and the location was absolutely perfect1
Four of us strayed here for a weekend and it was great. Exactly what we expected; something unique like Montreal, affordable, private, and close to all the major attractions. The location was perfect since we wanted to check out the Jazz festival and Old Montreal. We never met hosts since we were always out but Noemie was good with communication via emails. The place was clean enough and had all the old charm and character. Since the room was facing the St-Catherine Street, there was street noise...we picked the busiest weekend of Montreal. If you're looking for something quiet, pick other rooms in the house! Overall the best value !
