----- IMPORTANT NOTES -----
Please note that our house is shared between at least 5 and up guests at the same time. Bathrooms and common spaces are shared. But yet the house is very calm because everybody is out all the time in the city!
Please note also that we don't live there anymore because we have our own private appartments, and because this place has become with time our job. We rent on Airbnb and we also develop in the walls of this house an Art Center since two years. So please note that during your stay it might happen that you have the chance to participate in an artistic event. We are aiming toward making live Montréal's culture itself to our tenants.
If you feel this experience is for you, jump in, you will never have experienced somthing like our place!
----- MEET THE HOUSE! -----
Lamps and weird knick-knacks dwelling with antique furniture and cosy sofas, torn tapestries, crooked hardwood floors and squeaking steps and doors makes all the charm and the warmth of the place. Built in the end of 19th century, The house has been preserved from aging, but in respect of its past, which makes the place very "storytelling"...
Amongst many vocations this place had, we keep artefacts from a past Chinese food restaurant and a retro women's clothes shop. Other non house-related artefacts fill the house. Discover all this while coming to our place in Montreal. And ask one of your hosts to translate what the walls and objects don't tell clearly to everyone...

Noémie and Michael were great hosts! Super friendly, hospitable and cool. Great vibes, can't wait to hang with them again!
great place, close to all of the accommodations, close to subway.
there is fully furnished kitchen, plus a good living room.
Noemie was very friendly with us !
Noémie was such a great host for my boyfriend and I! One of the best experiences we've had with airbnb, for sure. The place was absolutely lovely and comfortable. Not to mention, the location could not have been better. Noémie gave us great advice for places to go and lots of much needed practical information. She was also very accommodating and understanding about our late time of arrival due to a major delay with our flight. That was so appreciated and we thank you so much again for waiting for us! Overall, our stay in Montreal would not have been as good if we stayed elsewhere and we hope to stay again on our next trip up there!
Noemie and Michael were fabulous hosts - Friendly and exceedingly accommodating. I enjoyed my 2 weeks at the house, and especially enjoyed the fact that there was so much space that it never felt like there were other people around. And yet there was a wonderful sense of a commune living there. The room was spacious and full of character, as was the rest of the house. I look forward to returning when I go back to Montreal!
Original. Noémie & Michael sont très sympas et serviables. Très bonne impression générale.
Michael was very pleasant and the main room is a gorgeous space with warm, funky furniture, a cozy kitchen with all the fixins you might need to prep a meal or just some morning tea. The pictures are a bit deceiving since it's not just quirky exposed brick walls and wood floors and funky furniture but actually in some disrepair - plastic on the window in my room for extra insulation, a padlock on the narrow bedroom door instead of a door lock, and the main door locks but not convincingly, the floor is uneven and creaks a bit. In some ways, it adds to the charm. The bed was comfortable and the in-room heater meant I could turn up or down the heat to suit my needs. There did seem to be dust or some type of particulate in the air - on the first night I thought I had a cold because I was coughing but night after night the tickle in my throat and the coughing was only theere when I was in my room and did not persist during the day. Overall it was very conveniently located in the gay village and near the metro and other than the cough, I had a pleasant stay.
I was staying at Noémies&Michaels place for 4 nights for recovering and planning the next steps for my journey. Its a nice place to stay and very close to the city center of Montreal. That makes it kind of loud in the evening but for those who want to go in the inner city (for example to the Jazz Festival) its perfect.
Met a lot of friendly and kind people there.... alltogether i can definitly recommend this place
