LEAVE NO TRACE!
"Leave no trace" is the only rule of the place.
Please do like at home. But you have to keep in mind that this home is shared by other people all the time. It doesn't take a lot of efforts to have a clean, tidy, calm house, if everybody collaborates...
So "leave no trace" means... leave no trace!
If you cook, leave no trace.
If you take off your boots... don't leave them in the way.
And if you walk with it on the floor during the Winter : leave no trace!
Same thing if you're having the shower of your life : leave no trace!
When you leave... empty your mini-fridge or give the food to other roommates!
And if it is late, around 10-11PM, in the lobby... sound is considered as a trace.
Please be quiet and kind to the other people who live in the house who may sleep. And please tell to others they should remain quiet if they are feeling too much social around our marvelous bar! ;)
As you can see, there are uncountable ways of leaving no trace. There are more and more and more... but we can't write them all here. That wouldn't sound fun and would be useless. Why? Because leave no trace is a logic way of living. It is a way to respect the the life space of others, a way to share without hurts.
So please, leave no trace :)
And everything will be fun and fine!
Otherwise... you are free to do whatever you like inside the house... except smoking, playing with bare fire, and running naked (although it could be tolerated)...
See ya in da house :)
The house is cool and old. Really good location. HOWEVER, we stayed in the room right by the bathroom so every time someone opened the door or went to the bathroom it was extremely loud- this was terrible at night because I woke up constantly. Plus there are so many bedrooms in this huge house so it happened often. Terrible sleep when there were other people staying in the house. Also right by the steps so whenever someone went up or down the steps it woke us up. Also in this bedroom there isn't much to hold the light so you woke up super early when the sun rose. Also the pillows suck so that also added to the bad sleep.
The fridge froze all of our groceries, even after I turned the temp up, so it ruined our food.
We stayed here during osheaga so it was more full than usual I assume, but I wouldn't recommend staying here during a busy time.
A tres bientot
This was a great place to stay in Montreal! It was in an amazing location, close to Old Montreal and downtown core.
The apartment is very old, but Noemie does a great job in keeping it clean and presentable.
Noemie was very friendly and helpful for when we got there. Definitely stay here if you are visiting Montreal :)
Noemi was very nice and quite accommodating. The room is well worth the price! Clean, nice bed, clean sheets, and a working fan was great since it was hot in Montreal when I visited. No complaints whatsoever.
Thanks, Noemi!!! :)
Noémie was very helpful and friendly. The house was clean, quiet, and centrally located. Overall, a great value for the price. I would certainly stay here again.
We arrived late at night, but were able to access the apartment and our room with ease. The apartment is very centrally located and in the heart of Gay Village, which was perfect. Our room was large, airy, and the architecture and attention to detail were impressive. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean and we had access to everything we needed, including wifi. The roommates were very friendly and welcoming.
Even though our room faced St. Catherine's Street, it was not very loud and we were able to sleep soundly. I would definitely recommend staying with Noemie and the Roomies :)
I was very impressed with the space and with my hostess. It was clean and had so much personality! Everything was lovingly put together with her own hands in an artistic way that made it unique and memorable. I met some other guests staying in other rooms and everyone was very sweet and friendly. Noemie was very helpful and went above and beyond to orient me in Montreal as it was my first time visiting. I would definitely stay here again!
