Welcome to Housie, the exclusive lake cabin situated right in the calm Swedish forest. It’s probably the cutest house in Southern Sweden and definitely a five star location. It offers the most exclusive and romantic getaway for couples, honeymoons, yoga, meditation & spiritual retreats, and nature lovers alike. Swim in or row on the lake, use the outdoor shower, keep warm in the sauna and explore the deep quiet forests in any season.

The space
** Minimum booking is 3 nights to accommodate longer stays. Please don't ask for anything less. Thank you.

** Only for quiet/mature groups to keep the forest quiet and not disturb my neighbors. No partying, music or loud outdoor noises allowed.

Housie is a traditional Swedish wooden cabin, newly renovated in Scandinavian boutique style. The plot is 2,500 M2 and during the winter half year there’s a small stream running down the hill next to the house. The house is 80 M2s and has three separate bedrooms, a bathroom and a large combined kitchen-, dining- and living room with a panoramic glass wall facing east. It offers breathtaking views of the lake, which has just a few houses that are rarely occupied. Housie only has one directly neighbouring house and with adequate distance.

Housie is a strict no smoking and no shoes zone, and pets are not allowed.

Our prices include full use of everything, electricity, heat, firewood, internet and a variety of streaming services.

Key features and items to note:

Where you’ll be

Bromölla Ö, Skåne län, Sweden

Housie is situated in a vast protected forest which has been maintained well by the owners through decades. It offers complet natural silence and the freshest air possible. Absence of traffic, pollution, noise and people. A rare commodity in our modern world.

You can usually walk for days here without meeting anyone. You'll find old trees, cliffs, massive boulders, moss and pine trees, birch, beech, oak, and a hilly forest scenery shaped by the ice age.

You can be lucky and spot moose, wild boar, foxes, deer, rabbits, birds of prey, owls, herons, geese and many other types of birds. There are no dangerous animals. There are several types of fish in the lake, however fishing is NOT allowed.

During summertime you should expect mosquitoes and sometimes ticks (only in tall grass and they are easy to get rid off).

The nearest local grocery store is 12 km away, so make sure to bring everything you need.

The forest is situated on Ryssberget with many natural parks. Ryssberget is a hill made up of some of the oldest stone in Blekinge, so-called metavulcanites created about 1700 million years ago. As the ice age came to an end, the ice melted away creating the Baltic Ice Lake. This covered most of what is now mainland Blekinge and Scania. The highest level of the lake can be seen on Ryssberget and is called the highest coast line (Swedish: högsta kustlinjen). As the glaciers continued to melt, land began to rise and this created in turn what is now the Baltic Sea.

Just a nice and decent person, a fan of the sharing economy. I sometimes share my holiday home so others may benefit from a fantastic nature experience. I'm fairly selective as this place means the world to me.
