The space
*We'll be unlocking more summer dates once we get the approval from the Ontario government. Let's hope the "stay-at-home" order is lifted as of June 14th! Please come back then for an update.

We’re excited to share our little piece of paradise with you! We love being surrounded by nature - where the stars are bright and the loon calls are plenty. Our cottage is often described as super relaxing, stylish and extremely clean. The space features many personal touches, including our "Follow Me North Photography" wall art, highlighting the wildlife and landscapes of our many adventures in Algonquin Park. We want you to relax and feel at home.

Enjoy a full cottage of amenities, including Muskoka Roastery Coffee and locally made shampoo and body wash. Linens, pillows and extra blankets are also included with your stay. Please read our reviews to get an idea of what other guests have found enticing about their stay with us! As Superhosts, our goal is to provide you with the perfect combination of relaxation and adventure experiences.

“The hosts are warm and gracious and instantly felt like friends” - Carly

“They were extremely kind and helpful and gave us a lot of awesome tips!” - Joanna

“Jesse and Susan make you feel like welcomed guests vs. paying customers.” - Scott

We value prompt communication between the guests and hosts. Whether it’s your first stay with us, or a repeat visit, we’re available in person and/or virtually during your stay. As we are discretely staying on the property in our tiny guest cabin, we’ll be able to provide seasonal services such as snow removal in the winter; firewood delivery all year round, hot tub maintenance and any additional requests or needs during your stay. We value timely responses and we’ll be sure to provide you with local tips to get the most out of your trip. Our guests have all shared the same values, including a love of nature, relaxation, adventure and communication. We enjoy making you feel welcome and want you to have the best Muskoka getaway!

We highly suggest treating yourself to some nature therapy in Algonquin Park (a park pass is included with your stay)! After a full day of hiking, journey back to the cottage for a hardy BBQ, roaring fire and end the evening with a toast in our bubbly hot tub! If getting on the water is more adventurous for you, feel free to jump in one of the two kayaks and paddle around the small lake across from our cottage (lifejackets provided). In the winter months we have 4 sets of snowshoes for you to enjoy during your trip. Propane for the BBQ and one bag of firewood is also included with your stay.

The wood stove in the cottage is extremely efficient at keeping you warm and toasty! In the colder months we also have electric heat on at all times to keep the cottage at a comfortable temperature, even without the wood stove. When the outside temperature dips below -15, we suggest enjoying the warmth that a wood stove can provide...but still bring slippers! We’ll instruct you on how to use the stove efficiently. Cuddle under a blanket and read a book or enjoy endless movies on Netflix, Crave, Prime Video or Disney. In the warmer months the 2 bedrooms have a window air conditioning unit.

During the summer months, lake access is accessible across the road with a small private area that has four Muskoka chairs. It's a beautiful spot to relax while watching the sunset over the quiet lake. In the warmer months, you may also choose to enjoy a paddle around the lake in one of the two kayaks we provide for our guests. In the winter, you'll appreciate the peace and quiet that our area brings alongside a magical snowy landscape. Snowshoeing is also a fun activity to enjoy during the winter. Each season provides a different experience and as locals, we'll provide you a full list of our top recommendations in our digital "Welcome Guide" that we’ll send to you once you’re booked. Best of all, you'll have prompt communication with us as your superhosts!

Although our listing requires a 2 night minimum stay, our personal suggestion is to book 3 or more nights. After speaking with many guests travelling from Ontario and abroad, they wished they had booked a longer stay in order to enjoy both the Muskoka-based local shops, the vast trails and lakes of Algonquin Park and some added time to relax at the cottage. As weather can be unpredictable, it’s ideal to be prepared to adjust your daily itinerary based on the local conditions.

Our guests repeatedly share their thoughts with us about how clean and comfortable our space is. We value those guests who respect our home and cleanliness, as well. As we’re not a party house, you’ll find the cleanliness and attention to detail comforting while visiting our home. A cleaning care package will also be available within the kitchen, which includes disposable paper towels, surface disinfectant, extra soap, hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes. Rest assured, we have cleaned the cottage according to the strict Airbnb recommended guidelines: Prepare, Clean, Sanitize, Check & Reset. Your safety, well-being and comfort is our top priority!

We also offer additional photography guiding experiences, workshops and photoshoots in Algonquin Park. Please reach out to us for further details, if this interests you. Combine your stay with a guided photography coaching workshop or photoshoot! BONUS - Now offering 50% off all FULL DAY guided Wildlife & Landscape Photography Coaching Experiences in Algonquin Park for all of our Airbnb guests! More info on our “Follow Me North” website.
