Come enjoy a peaceful stay in our unique country home, located on our goat cheese dairy in the Missouri Ozarks.
Visit with the goats, soak in the hot tub, walk down by the creek, sip your coffee on the gazebo by the pond or the deck, stream a movie on WIFI, get some work done in a calm environment, do it all, or just get a good night's sleep!
Our 45 acre farm is only 3 miles from Fordland and 25 miles from Springfield, MO. There are many hiking trails, creeks, rivers and lakes in the area.

The space
Our home has two loft bedrooms upstairs. The bathroom, kitchen and great room are downstairs. The house has a rustic feel and décor, and an open floor plan. There is a door to the outside from the loft bedroom on the west side. Guests can access the hot tub from this door, or out the front door and across the deck.

Special note: Because of the stairs, concrete floors, wood stove, low windows and hot tub, our house is not suitable for children under the age of 6 years.

Also, there are a couple of areas in the house that are not for guest use. These areas are clearly marked.

Guest access
While guests will have the house to themselves and we will not be staying in the house when guests are here, there are areas on the house not available to guests. These areas include our personal bedroom and bathroom and a storage area. These areas are clearly marked.

Guest parking is up near the house in the gravel area close to the doors on the east side.

Other things to note
This is a working farm. There will be people working down at the barns and creamery during your stay. We will give you all the privacy you want and will only come up to the house if you request or need something.

We are out in the country and the property is on a gravel road that can be rough at times. A vehicle with higher clearance and all-wheel drive is recommended.

We have LOTS of animals and all of the things that go along with them (bugs, dirt, poop, etc.) Because of the rural environment, we are a shoe free home and ask that you do not wear shoes in the house (so you may want to bring house slippers with you).

Our water is solar heated and can be VERY hot. Please check the water temperature before stepping into the shower!

We personally greet our guests and give them a brief tour of the house so we can go over use of the hot tub, wood stove and other things specific to our home.

PLEASE NOTE
****The gravel road to our property can be rough and difficult to navigate in a car with low clearance. We strongly recommend vehicles with high clearance and four wheel drive. If there is snow or ice you will DEFINATELY need a four wheel drive vehicle.

**** The view/neighborhood on the first part the road is also not the most "scenic", but once you get down into the valley you will find a peaceful country setting on 45 acres and it will all be worth it! Just think of it as being treated to the entirety of the Ozark experience!

I (Lesley) am a goat farmer and cheese maker. Our goat cheese dairy supplies the Springfield area with artisan goat cheese. Barry helps on the farm and has a small construction business off the farm. We both love goats, and animals in general. Our 45 acre farm is has dogs, cats, all kinds of poultry, and (of course) goats! Besides farming and gardening, we enjoy hiking, canoeing, cooking out, and spending time with our four grown children and their families. We also enjoy meeting new people and opening our home up to them!
