1) No smoking indoors.
2) Do not drag furniture or luggage on wood flooring. Flooring gets easily scratched from zippers and sharp edges.
3) Turn off AC and heater when you leave.
4) Do not light candles.
5) Keep the bathroom vent on or window open after showering. This is to prevent the bathroom from getting mildewy.
First of all, James was a pleasure to deal with. He responded to all our inquiries quickly and was always available if we needed anything. The apartment is located behind the main house. The space was clean and has everything that you need - separate bedroom, TV with cable, sink, microwave, couch, bathroom and a fridge in the garage. The garage is just on the other side of the door so it's not far. The location is not too far away from Downtown LA. It took us about 15 min without traffic. I would gladly stay here again!
We had a great time at James' place. James was a really nice host, quick to respond, and flexible in accommodating us. Monterey Park was a great neighborhood to stay in with great Asian cuisine nearby and was way closer to Downtown LA and Hollywood than we expected. The place was also quite nice and luxurious. I definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting LA who has access to a car (you shouldn't be in LA without a car anyways, it's impossible without one).
James was really quick to respond to inquiries about dates and scheduling. He was accommodating and completely understanding about everything.
My friend and I arrived in town late (close to midnight) and James was really courteous about waiting for us. He gave us the keys and walked us through the house. The place was great! Comfortable place to stay. It was warm and filled with all the necessary amenities.
I would definitely stay here again. It's so close to all the good eating spots!
This place only serves 4 dishes. The spicy beef noodles are the way to go. The kitchen only makes enough food for the day. When they run out its over. Just an 8 minute walk.E Garvey Ave Monterey Park CA 91755
Super inexpensive dim sum can be had all week in a newly remodeled restaurant. This is my go-to spot for my dim sum fix. Weekends get super crowded late so get there before 10a or try weekdays.E Garvey Ave Monterey Park CA 91755
A dozen dumpling varieties. Try the juicy xiao long bao steamed dumplings as well as fish and veggie varieties. Beef green onion pancakes are flaky and filling.Garvey Avenue Monterey Park CA 91754
Snacks, teas, and super selection of liquor and wine. Wine tastings and liquors heavily discounted because they buy in volume. Sample their high end green teas toward the back. They close early 7p.Garvey Ave Monterey Park CA 91754

Why do coffee when you can do boba? This place has dozens of different boba concoctions. Boba are tiny tapioca balls mixed with tea or coffee. I like the grass jelly and milk tea varieties.N Atlantic Blvd Monterey Park CA 91754
Japanese ramen noodles at their finest, the broth is divine. Love the teriyaki unagi (eel) bowl. Its a hole in the wall but much easier to find parking than the original in Little Tokyo.N Atlantic Blvd Monterey Park CA 91754
