Cant wait to stay again...
Of all the places we reserved through AirBnB for our month-long trip through Spain and Italy, I'd known that I wanted to spend a little more time in Sorrento. Caterina's Grocce di Limone B&B lived up to my fairytale dreams of my Amalfi experience! Caterina's B&B is situated right in the middle of Sorrento's beautiful shopping district and very close (5-minute walk) to the beaches. And yet, her home is tucked away discreetly in a citrus grove which gives you the feeling of escaping the day's hustle and bustle into the serenity of the beautiful bright and cozy space she has prepared for her guests. She is a wonderfully kind person with a beautiful family whom we quickly met upon arrival as they led us to our private parking spot in their driveway. Once situated we felt completely at home in our private floor. Then, the fabulous breakfast spreads that she prepared each morning seemed to anticipate everything we would desire! It was delicious! Eggs, fruit, yogurt, a croissant sandwich with ham and cheese for each of us, delectable pastries and excellent cappuccinos!! Caterina even made us delicious, homemade chocolate chip pancakes as a surprise one morning! :) Caterina deserves the highest distinction that AirBnB could bestow upon her! Thank you!! :)
Wow. I could leave it at that, if you're looking for a stay in sorrento and a base for Pompeii and Vesuvius this is the spot. Huge room, all the information you need for a great stay, and Caterina was a wonderful host. The breakfasts could feed an army, as well as being delicious - they kept us going (without needing lunch) on our trips to Pompeii and Vesuvius. And Caterina's limoncello - delicious!
If you're going to Sorrento I would highly recommend staying here!
Caterina and her husband were great hosts. The B&B has been renovated to a very modern standard, and Is centrally located and an easy walk to everything we wanted to do and see in Sorrento. Breakfast was delivered to our room, and Caterina provided information daily as she delivered the food - very informative. We had a problem with a small travel fan, and Caterina's husband provided some tools to pull it apart and rectify - very much appreciated. Great B&B, great location and great hosts - highly recommended.
Caterina was an excellent host she treats her guest like family. She is so kind a gracious I felt like she cared that we had a very comfortable stay. Her home was in a perfect location close to the main plaza but next to a citrus grove. The breakfast was outstanding eggs toast ham fruit juice coffee yogurt. We ate such a great breakfast that we found we only needed to eat two meals a day. The train was a few blocks away and the B and B was walking distance from the train. The host and her husband were outstanding. I would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful beautiful place to call home while traveling to Sorrento.
Fabulous hosts, great location, accommodations as pictured. Would absolutely recommend and return here if we ever visit Sorrento again
Caterina and her husband were very welcoming and attentive. Her breakfasts were wonderful. Their B&B is perfectly located near the heart of the best parts of Sorrento and yet tucked away in a quite, cozy setting of citrus trees (the best of both worlds). Caterina and her husband are very friendly and knowledgeable. This vacation, I was showing my parents Italy, they had some mobility issues so the little elevator and great location in town was excellent! I defiantly hope to visit her again in the future. P.S. Caterina makes a tasty Lemonchello!
About the Host, Caterina
Hello! My name is Caterina,
I am 47 years old and was born in Viterbo. I live in Sorrento from twenty years with my husband and my daughter. Since August of 2011 I opened the B&B that I called "Gocce di Limone “ (Lemon Drops)... how else could I call? It is located in the heart of Sorrento, faces onto an orange and lemon grove! I love traveling and cooking, my next trip? In Provence! The best book I've read? I haven’t read yet! But definitely one of my best, last readings is "The Elegance of the Hedgehog" I believe that I have read almost everything by Andrea Camilleri.
What I can't do without? My family, animals, days of the beginning and the end of summer, music, fine wine, quality cinema and theater, pizza, coffee, and especially my closest friends.
Finally for me to receive the guests is a gift, I love to host new people in my house. I find it an enriching experience from every point of view. I treat my guests like family members, with sincere affection and attention. My way of being is welcomed with joy by my guests when they thank me for staying just spent. This is incentive for me and gives me the strength to carry on improving every day. Yes, because we can and we must improve ourselves day by day without feeling the best ... that's my motto!
Hello to all and good life!
Ciao!
In Provence!
Ciao a tutti/e e buona vita!
