I have opened up another room on airbnb. This one has a private bath ,private entrance, with a deck off of the bathroom.Queen size bed, comfy down filled sofa, large enough to stretch out on,internet, internet tv,close to downtown, highways, schools. On the first floor, easy access. This is larger than the room on the second floor.there is also a Steinway model B in the living room that is available for guest use. This is a very unique house from the Tiffany lamps and stained glass windows and doors to the Morris wallpaper. You aren''t going to find this anywhere else in Providence. There is parking, gardens, and lots of art.I have a rose garden across the street with it's own writers shed.I also serve a full breakfast that changes daily.Anything from smoked salmon to steak and eggs with fresh fruit, juice sausage, ham, quiche You name it.Breakfast is until 9:00 . Please let me know in advance if you are not eating breakfast.
This room is now available .Please note that this can not be instant booked. Please contact me before booking to check availability Thanks Chip
This is a pretty low key home.Live and let live.I do expect people to respect the other people living in the house as there are also apartments that are rented out long term.I do make breakfast in the morning and it is helpful to let me knowv in advance what time you want it .I usually am out by 9:30 so please let me know in advance if you want breakfast later than that.I can also have breakfast ready by 6:30..If you are staying long term sheets are changed twice a week and there are plenty of towels just ask.I'm pretty flexible about check out time but let me know in advance if you are going to be later than 1:00.usually it's no problem unless someone else is coming in for the next night.
What a marvelous experience. Chip is a wonderful host, and the room was quite perfect.
As my first air bnb experience, I was more than pleased with this lovely home. I stayed on the first floor of Chips house. As soon as I walked in I was absolutely enchanted. The room was beautiful, so was the bathroom, and had more than enough things that I needed. chip was more than accommodating and his breakfast was delicious, complete with coffee and OJ. I highly recommend staying here when visiting providence!
I really enjoyed staying in a jewel
box of art and my experience of Providence was luxurious. My bedding and bath were lovely (with a Frete robe and fresh flowers). Limoges china at breakfast prepared by an artist.
Chip was amazing host and the place was top notch. Cute cat, bathrobes, dual sinks, amazing breakfast. Highly recommend this place
My friend and I had a great time at Chip' s place. The house is very beautiful and he is a charming host. Highly recommended.
This was my first experience using airbnb and it was wonderful! Chip was a great host! The Breakfast was superb, the bed was very nice and confortable, the bedroom Had everything i need and the hole house was a piece of art. I would recommend chip's place to anyone visiting Providence.
As we were looking for a place to stay in Providence while returning our daughter to her dorm at Brown, we couldn't bring ourselves to find yet another hotel. We have done this twice a year for 2 1/2 years, and we haven't found a hotel that meets our needs and feels just right. We stayed at Chip's Victorian B&B, and we now have our favorite place to stay.
The elegant, interesting, beautifully-appointed building is the most comfortable, fascinating museum you could ever spend the night in. Chip has thought of everything you would ever want in a B&B.
What a great host! The antiques in his collections lead you into conversations about Chip's interests and experiences that made our stay like visiting a friend you just met.
Breakfast was terrific, with beautiful place settings and textiles, making eating a real luxurious experience. It's a little like going back in time, but with modern conveniences, like free parking and comfy amenities. (I still want to know where you got those towels, Chip! I can't find them online!)
Our plan is to stay on Linden St. for each of our next visits to Providence. I can't wait to see the gardens in the spring!
