Oltrano neighborhood, south of the Arno river will give you the sense of rustic , old Florence. You will discover quiet and characteristic lanes where high stone walls hides private gardens. Oltrarno is an interesting melting pot of traditional craftspeople, immigrants, retired people and yuppies. Artisan shops will welcome you: you will find furnitures, jewelry, leather items and picture frames in a century old style.

there ae paking areas at 200 mts: Viale Ariosto, Piazza Tasso, Piazza del Cestello and garages ( 20 euro per day)
Lovely, spacious apartment in a neighborhood away from the tourists. The area around Piazza del Carmine has good restaurants, a neighborhood "bar" with excellent espresso, cornetti and spritz, shops with delicious focaccia, cheeses and fresh eggs, and amazing gelato shop by the Arno River. There is a bus that goes into the center of town, but it is also possible to walk to the major sights and bus station (15-25 minutes). Just across the piazza is Brancacci Chapel with interesting frescos. Another old chapel a block away hosts opera performances and there's a children's playground tucked behind Carmine church-- open evenings. This 3rd floor apartment has a washing machine and some fans, but no air conditioning, no TV. The host was prompt to meet us and lives in the building. There is a popular restaurant nearby which means lively noise til around midnight. I feel asleep nonetheless, but this may be a problem for some. Overall, a cheerful apartment in a charming part of the city that I would happily rent again.
Florence was great. The apartment was clean and very comfortable. The location was great and not near the tourist section of Florence, but was a quick walk there. There was a ton of local shops an restaurants nearby to sample the local cuisine. The wifi was a little difficult at times and a little slow for 4 people, but overall it was a great experience. I would recommend this apartment.
We felt very comfortable and welcomed upon our arrival. The discripting was correct, the location was perfect for us, although it can get a little noisy late at night due to the restaurant down stairs.
Wifi was good, beds were comfortable bathroom a little small, washing machine very helpful overall we really enjoyed our stay.
Emiliano and Giacomo's mama was very helpful, guiding us to the best places in Firenze for a fast 2 days trip. The place is so cozy and italian, everything working well, nothing to debunk. The right place for a new trip to Toscana.
This place is great, we were well looked after by friend of the house - Jinky, and appreciated the complimentary bottle of wine.
There are a lot of good restaurants around this area, all walking distance away.

About the Host, Emiliano E Giacomo
Ciao a tutti!
