Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
Glamping at its finest! Forest Garden Yurts are wooden yurts designed and built by Bill Coperthwaite in the 1970s for Tom Hess and Lory Brown as home and pottery studio. Tucked away in 4 acres of Ozark forest, the yurts are simple in nature yet abound with artistic details. The home yurt has a kitchen, bedroom, and a nook living room. The bathroom yurt is separate but has a covered walk. Unconventional and unique, with hobbit hole doors and low clearances in places.

Guest access
There are 4-acres of woods to roam, that are either along the road or fenced, so there is no chance of wandering off of the property. There are also fire pits, camp chairs and roasting sticks available.

Hi there! I am Amanda and I became a host because I fell in love with a with some beautiful and rustic hand built yurts. I saw them and I knew I needed to share them. I love bringing people together to experience something new, and I found a gem of a place that does it. In our venue space we have small weddings and elopements, workshops and retreats, and wild foraged dinners with Rachael West of Eating the Ozarks. My husband and I are developing the property to be able to sleep 20 guests and very easily facilitate larger retreats and workshops. I have dreams of developing a real boutique hotel/other glamping properties. The "sunshine house" was our family home for 7 years. We are in another remodel of our own. Anybody been there??? This and 5 kids keeps us down earth and exhausted. My husband and I love to travel. Before we knew about Airbnb, we stayed in hostels across the US and Asia. We saw all 50 states by 2019, and have goals to take our kids to them all before they graduate. My favorite backpacking Asian travel was Nepal, Northern India, Cambodia, and the slow boat down the Mekong from Thailand to Laos. Future travel dreams include: bioluminescent bay in Puerto Rico, Budapest and Prague, and Petra.
