Secluded, sheltered and private.
We're excited to introduce accommodation in a truly unique location in our combined new open-concept + historical part cabin at the edge of the fjord.
Folgefonna glacier National Park above.
The only neighbours are birds, fishes, small whales, and the apple trees.
Combining modern architecture and amenities, with the look of a traditional boathouse, there aren't many places like this around.
Nice basecamp for hiking og fishing.
Go swimming in the fjord.

The space
Secluded, secluded and private. Several hundred meters to the nearest house.
The place has a completely unique history with ice export of broadband from Folgefonna to the London/England fish market in the 19th century.
We are happy to introduce accommodation in a truly unique location in our combined new + historical cabin on the edge of the fjord.
Folgefonna glacier national park is the mountains just above.
Neighbors are birds, fish, tiny hay whales and among other things the hunters spikes niche. And in 2021, there are many freshly planted apple trees, which will provide us with apples, sides and juice. So people work in the orchard here sometimes, but far from every day. There are soon 7 farm sales of pages here in the village (Vikebygd in Hardanger) , and a 2021 newly established restaurant at Nu : Siderhuset Ola K
Combined with modern architecture and amenities, with the look of a traditional naust, there aren't many places like this. The two departments are so different that they complement rather than compete with each other. It will be a cultural-historical experience, two living rooms istf one, and there is an extra bedroom in the oldest part , where you must not climb up to a loft - practical if the grandparents are with you.
Nice base for hiking and fishing.
Swim in the fjord.
Relax.

Retired fruit grower and first female adviser for the fruit farmers in Hardanger. Health problems put an end to my farming job. So the farmland is rented out.
Now I am 'only' landlady of the empty farm houses while e wait for the next generation to take over. It is so nice to have life and people around, and "lights in the windows". I try to do as good job as possible as an Airbnb host.
I try to have good communication with the guests in advance, because I want them to have as good as possible experience visiting my place.
I try to send link or otherwise give advice regarding hiking and sightseeing, what to bring in baggage depending on what activities the guests want to do etc.
I also explain which route is good to take to get here depending from where they come into Hardanger region
I try to be around when guests arrive and leave. Since I am living in the middle between 3 of theses farm houses, that is normally possible
Eternal gardening enthusiast with a wild garden along a river near the houses - free to use for guests in all 3 houses, sit in and enjoy the river.
Engaged in local community and sustainable development.
And last, but not least, a grandmother.

Finally; in the Airbnb map the listings are placed wrong - I am sorry, but it seems to be impossible to edit it.
3 of the houses are near each other if groups of friends would like to stay near to each others. Only the seashore house is a bit away from the others.

kind regards and welcome
Arnhild
