The space
The space is very TINY, but you'll find that all you need is here and it is quite cozy, comfortable and a nice quiet getaway from the hectic traffic and noise of the very nearby city.
The sofa bed converts to a queen size and the loft bed is a double size mattress. The loft requires climbing a ladder and it is a very small space- not for the claustrophobic. The sofa bed, when open, does take up quite a bit of the floor space (see photos of the sofa bed converted).
There is no freezer part to the refrigerator, but if you need something frozen, or need ice I can get you ice and help you with freezing things.
You have a private washer/dryer & I do provide detergent & bleach for laundry.
The pool is 34 feet long by 16 feet wide. It is a shared space. We use it along with a few friends and guests from a second Airbnb unit also have access to it. There is a poolhouse with additional full bath and kitchenette that you are welcome to use. We also provide plenty of towels for the pool area. The pool has an electric cover that I will show you how to easily open with the turn of a key. The pool is warm enough to swim in from April until October, depending on weather.
The cabin is nestled among fruit tress and shrubs. I love gardening, so I take extra care to keep the landscaping private and lush. During summer months, you are welcome to pick any fruits and vegetable I might have growing throughout the property.

Guest access
Included with your cabin and private front deck, you will have access to shared spaces;

-Deck over the garage offers views of the Hollywood sign, Griffith Park observatory and great spot to watch the sun set.

-Pool and poorhouse area- from here you also have views of the Hollywood sign, observatory. You are welcome to use the pool, lounge chairs, towels, additional kitchen & bathroom in the pool house/cabana. The hot tub is NOT included for use.

-We live on a very large property with additional garden areas with paths and an arbor- you are are also welcome to roam about these areas.

Neighborhood highlights

Silver Lake has a multitude of cafes, bakeries, restaurants, bars, boutiques, several grocery stores, a great spa as well as the Silver Lake reservoir which is a popular walking/jogging/dog park, quiet zone meadow and recreation area (children's playground, basketball court).
Silver Lake is also known for its eclectic mix of architectural styles, from 1910's craftsmen, 1920's-30's Spanish, 1940's, 50's 60's modernist with tours conducted several times a year.
Because of Silver Lake's hills, views are spectacular at sunset and on clear days when you can see a glimmer of the Pacific Ocean on the horizon as well as the Hollywood hills and downtown metropolis.
