Step back in time with all the modern conveniences! This tastefully decorated two bedroom apartment sits on top of a 1906 general store in historic Gold Hill, NC. You will be in the middle of town while in the heart of the country; your next door neighbor is a donkey! Enjoy the village arbor, unique shopping, the gold mine trail, community park, gold history tours, bluegrass music, fine dining, antiquing, an award-winning winery and events throughout the year, all just steps from your door.

The space
Our building is old but pristine. The apartment is a new addition and, though decorated to somewhat reflect the time period, we pride ourselves on cleanliness, modern amenities and comfortable bedding!

The entire apartment and deck are yours. You may also utilize the store porch to 'sit a spell' and the yard of the store.

Neighborhood highlights

The Village of Gold Hill is considered one of the most charming historic small towns in America. Gold was discovered here in 1824 and the mine trails are a short walk from our property. The apartment is above a 1906 General Store and the walking village contains a restaurant, shops, parks, antiques and scenery from a movie set. There are events almost every weekend throughout the year to celebrate the town's history.
