About hospitality and confort of the studio we let our guests talk for us :)
Excellent apartment, excellent location, excellent host. Upon introduction, João took me through a virtual tour of the town, recommending the finest restaurants and the best sights. The flat itself was perfect: spacious, clean and modern. Though I didn't cook, the Kitchen appeared to have everything that you could need. The location is ideal: 5 minutes away to the historic university and close to the best restaurants in Coimbra. Throughout my stay, João was more than helpful and tended to all the queries that I had about the city.
5 stars. Highly recommended.
Joao was a fantastic host. He really made our stay enjoyable. He gave us lots of great tips on what to see. So many in fact we wished we could have stayed for a few more days to see them all. Driving to the house was a bit tricky but totally worth the adventure. I'd recommend Joao's apartment 100%
We had a terrific three night stay in João's Coimbra apt. The apartment is as clean and inviting in reality as represented on the (website hidden)ão informs and invites his guests into the truly significant history of this marvelous university town in Portugal. His tips on dining and other touristic sights are an added bonus.
We had a great experience in João's studio apartment in the heart of old town Coimbra. Our host gave us a thorough orientation to the city with great suggestions for things to do and places to eat. He is very knowledgeable about his city, especially in terms of the architecture. The studio is ideally located and João keeps it in impeccable condition. We highly recommend a stay in this apartment in Coimbra.
What a nice Studio at a Great Location directly in the Center of Coimbra. We really loved it!
It was a pleasure to stay in that lovely apartment in historical center of Coimbra.
Joao was very helpful and he gave us many interesting tips - unfortunately all recomended restaurants were full of guests but that means that they are really worth to see :-)
So we went to the bar which is seen from the window of the flat: Hylario - great crazy people and incradible atmosphere.
We'd like to go back there in the future :-)

We enjoyed the three days in Coimbra. The flat was great, a lot of interesting points and restaurants in walking distance, although we didn't met Joao, he gave us a lot of tipps. If you come by car it would be a good idea to go directly to the big and gratis parking place on the other side of the river. Uschi
João is a great host, the apartment is very nice - we had a great time during our stay.
Very central, lovely apartment, well designed, comfortable. Within easy walking distance of (website hidden)ão was a very considerate host and spent a lot of care and time describing Coimbra to us. He is very knowledgeable about his city and it is delightful to hear it from the host and not from a guidebook. He was very helpful. Spend more than 2 or 3 days in Coimbra; there is a lot to see and you can take it slowly, staying right in the centre.
Joao was so helpful and kindly greeted us with all the local information we could need as well as a fridge full of beautiful fruit-
The apartment was in a recently renovated 16 th century house. It is situated right in the heart of the historical centre within easy walking distance to all the main attractions . It is well worthwhile following Joao's restaurant advice but be there early ie before 7.30 pm. Thank you Joao-
