This apartment is located in downtown LA, which is an urban environment. If you are uncomfortable seeing homeless people and street noise, I do not recommend staying here and recommend you stay in Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood. Even though the neighborhood is very urban, it's very safe. The building has 24 hour security and neighborhood security patrols on bikes. Having lived in the neighborhood for 4 years, I have never had an issue with safety.
