The space

Really cozy and typical bolognese 50 sm studio. The studio is an old winery fully renovated a couple of years ago, the stonework and the ancient well inside the studio create a unique and genuine atmosphere. The studio is fully air-conditioned, equipped with WI FI lan. The semi-professional kitchen is perfect if you want to learn/ improve your italian cooking skills. There is a regular double bed and a big ash wood table. The studio could include also a private car park (+ 20 euro per 24 hours, can pay when you check in: to be requested in advance).
Best choice for a really bolognese experience, ideal for couples and real travellers!

Location - The studio is right in the historic centre and really close ( 30 seconds by walk) to Giardini Margherita, the most important park of the city.

SUGGESTION / Our Tavernetta is not advised for people affected by breathing problems (ex. Asthma): the reason is that our Tavernetta is a unique and very particular location since there is a ancient well and genuine stonework.
To go  to the basement there are 8 steps, so for those with reduced mobility it is not ideal.

NEW / Exclusive homemade restaurant service / Real Cucina Italiana on demand.

I absolutely loved my stay at Carlo's place. It was in a very secure location and I felt safe - very important as I was a solo traveller. Other guests mentioned mustiness - open the door and run the dehumidifier and it isn't a problem at all! There is a beautiful park that is less than a block from the apartment. Go there! It is a mini Central Park - have a spritz of cappuccino. Carlo, Sergio, Lilia and Frederica did all they could to ensure my time in Bologna was special. I was blessed to have chosen this place.

There is nothing better for escaping the Bologna heat than this! While inside, guests must keep the front door open for air circulation as it is the only window in the apartment (after all, it is a converted cellar!). The neighborhood is clean and quiet, with easy access to the ancient city center, major bus routes (effective for moving luggage to/from the train station) and a grocery store. Hosts were responsive to even minor issues during my stay. In all, this apartment is one of the coolest places I've slept in!

The apartment was exactly as described and pictured and was in an ideal location for us- close to the centre but still quiet and tucked away and a great base for our weekend in Bologna! Carlos and Sergio were fabulous and extremely helpful and very easy to get in touch with over air bnb.

The apartment is beautiful, spacious, comfortable, and very interesting... and I love the location: one of my favorite neighborhoods in Bologna's historic center, and just steps from the Giardini Margherita, a wonderful park just outside the Porta Castiglione (one of the original gates into the city). Carlo, Federica, Sergio and Lilia were all amazing hosts, and now friends. I'm grateful for my month in this fascinating "tavernetta" (an underground room originally used for winemaking, I believe).

The apartment is a very unique and pretty place to stay! The bed was very comfortable and the room was nice and cool to come back to when the weather was very warm! It was only a 10 minute walk to Piazza Maggiore and close to lovely restaurants and shops. We had a great time in Bologna and the apartment was ideal. Carlo's communication was excellent before and during our stay. Carlo's father, Sergio, was very helpful and even gave us a lift to the airport for a very reasonable charge. Would highly recommend to others and we would stay here again for sure!

Carlo's place is perfect, the amenities were comfortable, my brother didn't feel like a guest he felt he was home. Totally recommended!
