The studio was renovated in April 2014!
A small, cosy studio in Ljubljana city centre, 2 min walk to the main city attractions (the open market with the funicular to the Castle, The Three Bridges, Prešeren square, etc.). Less then 10 min walk from the Central Station. Although centrally located the neighbourhood is peaceful and quiet in the night.
It has its own small bathroom with toilet&shower (in one room) and a kitchenette with everything you need. You are welcome to use the table and chairs on a shared terrace (that noone else really uses) and drink your morning coffee with a view to the Ljubljana castle.
Wireless internet is in the room.
One bed and one (double bed) pull-out sofa. It is best for one, max two persons - the room is very small. The price is for the room per night regardless of the number of guests.
You get fresh bed linen and towels. There's also a hairdryer and some other useful stuff in the room. Pets acceptable.
The apartment is on the fifth floor. There is no elevator, but I will help you bring your luggage up. ;)
You can park your car in front of the block or on the nearby street. It is safe and costs 0,80 eur/h from 8 am to 7 pm. After that and during weekends it's free. There's also a parking house 200 m away.
From the main bus/trains station it's a 10 min walk to the apartment:
From the main station you take a walk down the Resljeva street, due south of the station. At the end of the street, after crossing the Dragon bridge (you will see the open market to your right; the Puppet theatre and the tunnel in front of you) you take a left into the Poljanska street. Then you take the first right into the Strossmayerjeva street and the first right (after the Elipsa bar). After 20 meters that's the first block on your left.
I was met by Sarah's brother who brought my bag up. He even had to wait for me because my flight was delayed, that was kind of him.
The place is as described and everything is in order. The place is very small but big enough if you don't spend much time there. The location is very central.
I would recommend the the place
The flat is in a very central location, just as described. Sarah was great at communicating before the stay, and her friend met me outside the flat on the evening I arrived. It is certainly tiny, as described, with the shower over the toilet and only a thin slide door separating it from the main room, but the space is well organised. No tv, although the picture looks like there is one. A bit noisy early in the morning from neighbours using the communal toilet next to the room. If you're tall like me, it might not be comfortable for a long stay, but for 1 person and 1 night, the location and price are pretty convenient.
Sarah met us in front of the building and she was really friendly and hospitable. The place is small( note that is smaller than an average room) but it's clean and very comfortable. Kitchen has everything you need for making your own meals plus some spices. Location in great, few minutes from the center and from the old city castle and the apartment is very easy to find from the bus or train station and the neighborhood is very quiet so you can sleep in without a problem. Room is on the 5th floor but the stairs are not a problem, you don't have to be in shape to get up without a problem.
We would definitely recommend Sarah's place and her as a great host.
Es war sauber und alles war da. Sehr klein aber genau richtig um ein paar Tage in Ljubljana zu verbringen.
Sarah met us at the apartment right on time. She was also very helpful before the trip; giving us advice about how to get there from the airport. The room was exactly as described. It was very small, but comfortable. It was up several flights of stairs, but those weren't so bad. The location was great, very close to the city center and an easy walk to the bus/train station in Ljubljana. There was hot water, a small kitchen with mini-fridge and two burners, and the terrace was nice to sit on in the evening. It was more than enough for our purposes. There is a small twin bed (if you are taller than 5'8" you won't fit in the bed though) and a futon. So, there is technically room to sleep three (two on the futon), but you will be very cramped. There was only two of us and it got a little crowded. Sarah was also nice enough to leave out some brocheres of things to do in Slovenia and gave us some tips on travel on the buses in the country.
All in all a great space in a great location. Would definitely recommend.
Great central location, the studio flat had everything I needed for my short stay. Thanks Sarah
Good place to stay that is very close to the train station and main parts of the city. Small place so if your a tall person (6 feet or taller) I might recommend somewhere else. The apartment was stocked nicely and everything went smoothly. Thanks again for letting us keep our bags there until a bit later!
