As you close the large wooden door behind you, you enter a different world, a world that has maintained the character of the period of the knights.
On the ground floor you enter the stone hall which is separated from the livingroom by a stone arch. The open diningroom- kitchen is fully equipped with all modern conveniences.
On the 1st floor there are 2 double bedrooms (1 with double bed and 1 with twin beds), 2 bathrooms with shower/WC and an extra open room with a double couch bed so 6 persons can sleep here comfortably.
As you walk out into the garden which is surrounded by a wall to give you privacy, you have a small terrace with plenty of sitting space.A few steps lead to the open part of the garden with a towering palmtree,a dining and barbeque area. There also is another small building which contains a bathroom with shower,W.C. and washing machine.
Although the house is located in the center of the old town, you will find it an amazingly quiet place, a wonderful oasis inmidst the busier outside world.
The house is situated close to the center of the Old town, in a narrow shopping street with little shops and as no cars are allowed,it is quiet.Yet restaurants and bars are in walking distance and we are happy to recommend some of the best ones, known mainly to locals.

We found the Old Town villa wonderful. The house has been tastefully restored and looks just like the pictures. It is comfortable, practical and has all the necessary modern conveniences. The private courtyard and garden allow you to sit, relax and dine outside. The house was impeccably clean and allows you to experience a little of life in the old town.
The old town villa is conveniently located with easy access to the centre of the old town and also easy access to the new town ports, supermarkets etc. you certainly do not need to have access to a vehicle to enjoy Rhodos town from this location. We met several of the immediate neighbours who were very friendly and made us feel at home during our short (4 days) stay.
Monica, the manager, was an excellent hostess - she gave us a very thorough introduction to the house and provided lots of helpful information about the area. She was readily contactable, though we had no issues with the house that we needed to contact her about.
We see that others have had issues with Internet access in the past - we had no trouble with this or any other of the houses facilities.
We would strongly recommend the Old Town Villa and if we were ever lucky enough to visit again we would certainly love to stay here.
This place is amazing. It's like you're actually in a medieval castle, probably because you are. We were three couples staying here, everyone was fully impressed (all very seasoned travellers), the host was awesome, the courtyard garden was crazy awesome, well stocked kitchen, internet, the list goes on and on - highly recommend!
Claudia was extremely friendly and we enjoyed our stay in Rhodes for 4 nights this past summer. Her pretty little house in the Medieval city was superbly located for exploring Rhodes. She met as at the gates of the old city, and made us feel right at home.
A few small things would have made our experience even better.
1) The Wifi did not work in the house, and we had to go the courtyard to use it. Apparently, the house next door, which Claudia also rents, is wired for wifi, but the one we stayed in was not.
2) Air conditioning. It was 90 degrees F (33 degrees C) and even hotter during our stay. A/C in the two upstairs bedrooms was mandatory, but a mobile A/C unit for the downstairs would have made it much more pleasant.
3) The courtyard, while pretty, was also quite buggy. Not sure how to fix that, but it made the outside area less desirable to use.
A central, medieval home, constructed over 3 floors, with a large balcony. This place would suit a couple or 2-3 friends on a casual visit to Rhodes. An easy spot to start your Rhodes journey from. Claudia took extra care and made sure we're feeling at home. She also bought some food and drinks for us to smoothen the start of our stay and was very present during our time in the listing. Thanks Claudia!
