  • Absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking for an affordable place with an amazing view. My fiancée and I felt right at home when we met them. Doug gave us a tour of the house and made us feel right at home. The rental is entire floor and very private. They went so far beyond what is normally expected from a host. Our fridge was stocked with snacks, breakfast items, a fruit basket and a bottle of wine. The place was very clean and tidy. Can not beat the view in Laguna for the price. We have already booked our next stay and can't wait.

  • Kc and her husband were very nice to stay with and we felt welcome and at home. The rooms are very pretty, comfortable and spacious for four people. The view is impressive as well - a nice garden and the pacific. Would definitely recommend this to anyone

  • we had a wonderful stay at Kc and Doug's beautiful home in Laguna Beach. The space is more beautiful than expected, decorated with Kc's gorgeous Chinese art work. We loved out stay. Although it was pouring rain it was still beautiful. Very kind couple. Lots of treats :)

  • KC and Doug were excellent hosts. You have all the privacy you need on the entire bottom floor including a very large bedroom, bathroom, living area and deck. Received some nice welcome gifts upon our arrival even a small piece of art made by KC. Downtown Laguna Beach is right down the street. I would definitely stay here again it was extremely relaxing.Thank You Both ,We had a wonderful experience!

  • We were very pleased with our stay at the Horng house. The rooms were large and well appointed with a nice view of the canyon and ocean. The hosts were gracious and treated us like friends. Highest rating.

  • This space is totally undersold on the AirBNB page! You get a big room with a bed and a massive living room area--an entire floor to yourself, and they had mattresses to lay out on the living room floor.
They were really welcoming and their house was filled with KC's art!
    Wonderful place!

  • Doug and KC were very hospitable and accommodating. This is the bottom floor of a multi-level family home in an amazing neighborhood just up the hill from the main Laguna Beach and shopping area. The views are incredible! From the balcony you view lush vegetation growing in the valley and an incredible view of the sea. The owners have fruit trees growing on the property, and left us a large bowl of fruit to enjoy. They also gave us a bottle of wine and a piece of original artwork by KC. The bed was very comfortable and the walk-in closet provided lots of room to store and hang our clothes. The shower is HUGE!
We had family come and stay with us one night and there were extra mattresses provided so we were able to sleep a total of 9 people (3 adults, 3 teens, 3 small children.)
At first it took us some time to get used to the fact that the living room area is open to the rest of the house (no door) and so you can hear the hosts and they can hear you. The bedroom is definitely private, however. If you are planning to have more than 2 people and sleep in the living room area, be aware of this aspect of the place. My thought is that one if the wonderful things about airbnb is getting to know new people and experiencing a place from a local resident's perspective by staying in their home. It didn’t take long to get used to the openness of the space. The hosts did not come down in our area or infringe on our privacy in any way.
I highly recommend this home for a stay in Laguna Beach! WAY better than a hotel!

  • Doug and KC were excellent hosts. The large family room was equipped with a small kitchenette that was fully equipped. They even left a bottle of wine and a beautiful piece of art work by KC.
Every accommodation was made for our stay. Be prepared for three flights of stairs to access and enjoy the beautiful view!

  • Overall a very pleasant stay at Doug and KC. Communication in advance went smooth and was very helpfull. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine, fresh fruits and art made by KC. The apartment was very spacious, clean and had everything we needed. It is well equiped for a longer stay, we only stayed for 2 nights, while in fact we never wanted to leave. Hope to return. Perfect first airbnb experience!

  • This is a beautiful, quiet home! I was in town for a wedding and saved hundreds of dollars by staying here. Even though it was just me staying, I would say 4 could have fit comfortably. The view and the breeze were fantastic. Distance to the beach is def walkable, but its a good idea to keep an eye out for the shuttle. Doug was very accommodating and respectful. Would gladly stay again
