Sherri and her husband were kind and even offered us the use of the kitchen. I'm a quite reserved person and they respected my personal space.
The beds were very comfortable and the whole house was beautifully decorated.
I certainly recommend this comfy house, but you have to be aware of how you'll get there, as public transport in Cambridge is not very good during the weekend and the house is a bit distant from the centre.
We stayed in the middle of winter and it was a very warm and cosy room/house. Sherri and Edward were welcoming and friendly. It was a good base to explore Cambridge.
Our weekend in Cambridge was made even more enjoyable by staying in this cosy room. Beds were comfy, everything was spotlessly clean and the heating was perfect.
We booked the room at the, last minute and Sherri and Edward were very accommodating. We enjoyed the private bathroom. The house is very quiet! We were working in Cambridge and the bus was close and convenient to get into town. If you stay in Girton try the George inn for Thai food. Thanks Sherri for a nice stay.
Sherri has an absolutely lovely house in a very calm and relaxing area!! My mom and I loved it!! Breakfast in her wonderful dining room was a wonderful start to the day. It was clean, comfortable beds and Sherri and Edward were always helpful with suggestions on what to do around Cambridge. First experience with airbnb and an absolutely wonderful experience!! I would recommend Sherris' place and would definitely stay again at any time. Thank you very much for making it such a memorable stay Sherri.
It was a pleasure to stay in Sherri's house in Cambridge, her hospitality, kindness and generosity was very much appreciated during our stay. Sherri had a wealth of knowledge on the local area providing places to visit, things to do and on restaurants where to eat. I would definitely recommend Sherri's house to anyone wanting to stay in the Cambridge area.
Sherry's house is really suggestive, clean and big...she has a fantastic and big kitchen...She can help you if you want to know something about Cambridge and surroundings...
For breakfast there isn't so much food...
The listing clearly stated that a continental breakfast, which included toast, jams/butter, cereal, juice, a large variety of fresh fruit, milk, tea, coffee and sugar were available and they ate an entire large loaf of bread in one sitting every morning, in addition to all other items. I have now removed the breakfast option from our listing, as there seems to be a misunderstanding of what a continental breakfast consists of, as well as the amount of food expected to be provided.
Sherri has a lovely apartment which is quiet and restful. It is well located for visiting all the tourist attractions and especially the university colleges. Sherri was very helpful. We had some interesting conversations. We would definitely stay with Sherri again if visiting Cambridge.
Entering a b&b-house one expects a sort of hospitability, the more after the display of photographs of most parts of the house. On a hot summerday, however, we had to sit on our beds after our return in the evening in the absence of a seat. B Perinereakfast was just enough for not starving. Compared with our experiences in the rest of England and Scotland we don't have a fine recollection of Sherri's "Gorgeous Double Ensuite".
Firstly, this guest arrived 3 hours ahead of the agreed upon time. It was very warm here when they visited and like many homes in England, we have no A/C. However, we do have a beautiful home with a great garden that they had been offered for them to sit and relax in but chose to sit in their room (and the pictures clearly show there is no chair in there) with the door closed, which was certainly an option but tends to make the whole hospitable part a bit tricky. Breakfast was also clearly stated on the listing and there was always a wide variety, with as much as she wanted, every morning, in addition to another item she asked for, which I happily provided. As they spent over an hour each morning eating, how someone could be left "starving" is really a mystery...tapeworm, maybe? :) You do the best you can and there are just a few people in the world who are never satisfied. Finally, we clearly have in our listing that we request no alcohol be brought into our home. They are the first, and only, guests who have chosen to completely ignore that request, and left an empty wine bottle in the room, which may very well explain why they had the door closed!
We enjoyed our stay at Sherri's. The room was very neat and clean, and we had our privacy and were happy with its private bathroom. Sherri was lovely and kind.
